Are you guys aware of this space combat sim? I backed it on Kickstarter, though it is highly unlikely that it will get the funding needed to complete the game. You can download the demo on their website.

I downloaded the demo earlier this evening and gave it a try. It's not too bad. It brings back a lot of memories from the Wing Commander days. I certainly hope they find a way to complete the game if they don't get the funding they need.

Wow -- that brings me back to my X-wing days. I was a one-man army back then; enemy AI was laughable. I would routinely send my wingmen home so that I could max out enemy kill stats.

In retrospect, it's kind of silly that a lone A-wing could take out multiple Star Destroyers and their TIE complements (60+ ships) all on its own. I suppose everyone in those games went to the Imperial Academy for gunnery skills, not just the stormtroopers.
