Adam Thomas Posted April 27, 2000 Report Posted April 27, 2000 ICQ 2000 is out, and it operates behind a firewall! (Please tell me if this is old news)------------------ Cmdr. A.R. Thomas Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV-Victorinox "A small mind is easily filled with faith" ICQ: 33699963
Supreme Cmdr Posted April 27, 2000 Report Posted April 27, 2000 It is old news. I got it 2 days ago and its working fine. Just don't expect to have it convert your ICQ99b databases correctly. In order to do that, you have to let it attempt to convert them, it will most likely choke (like it did here), then, once its up and running, shut it down and go to the 2000a folder where it stores the new databases, and delete everything. Then, copy the ICQ99b backup database (I'm assuming you backed it up) into that 2000a folder and fire up ICQ 2000a. Once it comes up and detects the old database in the new folder, it will conver them just fine.[This message has been edited by Supreme Cmdr (edited 04-27-2000).]
Adam Thomas Posted April 27, 2000 Author Report Posted April 27, 2000 Thanks SC! I thought I had lost all my contacts converting from 99a to 99b, so hopefully since I still have the old db backed up, I can restore my contacts.
