Guest Zillah Posted May 23, 2000 Report Posted May 23, 2000 Howdy. My problem would be that I can't use COM port 2. It has been disabled in the BIOS and the internal modem is listed as using it. COM port's 3 and 4, which if I understand correctly are virtual ports and have no physical location, are not beig used. Neither is IRQ 3. What I want to do is move the modem to COM 3 or 4, if I can find them, and then renable COM 2 in the BIOS so I can use it for the digital camera. What I don't know is how to go about doing this, whether I have to do anything physicaly inside the tower or if it just requires some manipulation in the system manager. COM 1 is being used by the printer and scanner and the modem has a IRQ of 10. Any help would be greatly appretiated. Thanx in advance.
Gallion Posted May 23, 2000 Report Posted May 23, 2000 Activate COM2 in ye system BIOS setup. How ye gets there varies from system to sytem. Read the documentation that came with your system or visit the mfgr's website for specific tech support.
