Hello, I am new here.

I just wanted to post my suggestion after playing 3000Ad for a while.

1)I would love to have the ability to change the battlecruiser.(Buy better one and so on)

2)Ability to build a fleet.

3)Ability to ally with other forces.

4)Ability to hire better crew and wingmen.

5)Ability to buy better fighters.

Thanks.

First off I'd like to welcome you to the BC Community.

Lets see what we can do about your suggestions...

1st. It is possible to buy items from starstations so you can upgrade your ships reactor, shields, and engines. In the manual it shows exactly what these are called and which are best..exc.

2nd. While actually building ships is not possible if you have Fleet C&C you are able to "assemble" fleets.

3rd. Not sure about this one.

4th. Over time your crew's artifical intelligence goes up which causes them to perform better. Therefore it is unecessary to hire better crewmembers, you can simply train the ones you already have by good ol fashion exposure.

5th. Interceptors are the best you can get at the moment.

Hope this helps you somewhat and once again welcome.

Yes, I know I can buy ship upgrade parts.

What I meant on the first suggtion was the ability to buy new ships such as buying destoryer.

And what about taking my suggestions to the new version of the game you are working on?

welcome, and let me take a crack at whats left biggrin.gif

1) changing the BC currently isn't an option in BC3K, though in BCM you will have the option to play as all or nearly all of the craft.

2) It won't make sense in BCM to buy better fighters, you are a military craft, why are you buying stuff in the first place? Not sure how this will be handled with the Trader Castes.

3) Most of the castes that I know of are military branches of their respecive races, and probably would have no say in alliances. Trader castes would probably follow with their race as well. The only castes similar would be the Raider possible since ther are many different alien raiders.

hope this helps somewhat

Klisis, welcome to the community. To answer your questions...

1. In BC:M you will be able to choose from different ship types with the only limiting factors being the StarStation you start from and its available craft. You will not be able to "Purchase" craft.

In the BC universe, unless you're a successful trader, you would not be able to afford a new cruiser. Govt. provides, you control. This is not Privateer.

2. You have Fleet Command and Control while Karl is on your ship. As for future titles, I suggest you spend some time reading the posts in the Development forum.

3. In the current game, you are already allied based on what path you choose. Those alliances stem from the work of larger organizations. You are not on your own. The closest you'll get to this is choosing mercenary, trader, raider, etc. when playing BC:M. You choose who you are friendly with. You also choose to be a target for everyone, if they so choose.

4. NO. Train the ones you've got.

5. Fighters are specific to your ship type. Again, this is not every other game in the space sim genre.

6. The feature set for BC:M is closed unless Derek Smart requests otherwise. Either way, you'll need to read up on everything in the Development forum.

Now, get back you your BC and practice, or you'll find yourself spending more time waiting at the StarStation during MP smile.gif
