Voltage is alright now and tha new PSU does much less noise and re-started playing bc3k... good to be back... take that you... but the computer still resets. Wold Posted March 6, 2001 Report Posted March 6, 2001 Have fun killing those NPCs. Click the start-button on your task bar. At the top of the menu list should be Windows Update. CLick that button and it will take you to the web site.Windows drivers causing resets?? hmmm... I'm a bit skeptical about that answer. Driver problems usually cause GP faults, OE errors, lockups, invalid page faults, etc, not a system reset. However, your new system should have come w/ all the drivers, seperate or on 1 cd. Use those drivers and you shouldn't have a problem.Does the system only reboot in 1 game, multiple games, or just sitting at the desktop?Does it reset in safe-mode? Since I haven't set up my ICS, only the old one can connect yo the net.I did ont have the drivers with the computer, since all parts were oem and it was the corel linux that was installed, not windowsResets when I exit from any game. Resets seldomly when installing stuff. Resets if I haven't closed the computer for at least half an hour after a reset.Haven't used safe-mode much, but for now it never had resetted in safe-mode. It may not have taken the first time, especially if your PSU was acting up. Also verify, from SOYO that you are using the correct video driver for your System bios... they have 2 different drivers and it is system bios/cmos version related.If it is still failing, I would bet that you have a system board hardware problem.
