Wold Posted February 23, 2001 Author Report Posted February 23, 2001 You are all welcome! All those lights are towns/cities. Having traveled the state of Alaska I can pretty much name each light. Some of those towns that show up are SMALL... Most don't have any pavement... even the runways are dirt. Then I see that map and wonder about China and Africa. No wonder they call it the "out-back" in Australia...In Russia, see that trail of lights running East to West? That's their railroad system.

None of the above has the luminosity to be seen from space. Those lights are actually from islands which have a good population density.

I think Tibet is located in the Dark spot. It's a not very modernized, I know I been there. Kush Posted February 27, 2001 Report Posted February 27, 2001 What's kinda sad is that if you look at the Canadian part of the map, all the lights just north and to the right of the great lakes were able to out vote all of the other lights in the rest of the entire country and choose the Prime Minister.If you live in that section of the lights, (as I do) it's great.
