A good number of said detractors are all a bunch of Socialist, I want everything for free and I want it now little babies. No wonder they hate the SC so badly, they need publishers, because they are too stupid and unoriginal to create a game like this and are so afraid of risk that they wouldn't have the cahunas to skip the middle step and finance it themselves anyway.
