Looks like a very interesting game. Models fatigue, must aim weapon, load, cock it, etc etc.

Downloading it now to take a look. Screenshots look like its an UNREAL TOURNAMENT with a smack of realism thrown into it!

Thanks for reminding me of it's existance! I was going to check it out a while back but I moved and only recently got DSL back. Looks like fun (C.S. is getting a tad old anyways).

INFILTRATION is an UNREAL TOURNAMENT mod. Forgot to mention that

Its REALLY amazing. There is no life counter, no armor or junk to pick up to power yourself up. You receive 2 or 3 bullets and you're dead. You can lie prone or crouch, your weapons are set from before you start (you select the weapon loadout before you start, and those are the weps you play with in the arena), maps are as far as ive seen, really good, only one bug found so far (skin bug everyone knows by now)

Best of all, this mod is exactly how I play paintball! Except for the grenades and grenade launchers, the gameplay is very realistic.

There is another major bug I saw mentioned in the forums. You can lean around a corner far enough that your own player model doesn't show itself. Meaning I can be standing behind a wall, lean way out, shoot you and you would never see me as my own avatar is still hidden behind the wall.

I got it to work once, but now it's giving me a 'general protection fault' everytime I try and start it. Will re-install UT later and try it some more. It did look very promising, I loved the Goldeneye like breathing with the sniper rifle zoomed.

That general protection fault is caused by UT itself. You have to run UT in SAFE MODE (not in windows safe mode, UT has its own safe mode), exit it and then it will work fine.

Thanx for the fix! If I don't see you I will probably be on 'Lt.Dan's Infiltration Server' as I'm getting about 60 ping.

Ok.. so don't know if it was the game or that server (and hopefully not my new DSL) but the lag was pretty horrid. Id walk around for 3 or 4 seconds at a time with the disconnect icon on the side and find myself dead or down the wrong ally. Other then that the game looks awesome. I love how there's no crosshairs unless your looking through a scope, and of course it being UT the levels are huge. GG!

I'll probably try again some more tonight, but I have to go out for a bit. I'm sure I'll see ya around on the servers!

My weapon loadout : 1 mp5 with silencer, 3 ammo clips + 1 ROBAR 50cal sniper rifle )2 clips) and 4 grenades and 1 knife.

Nothing feels better than force feeding 50 caliber nutrition to someone a mile away

Ummm... Tac, this game's been around forever. It's already been through beta and has gone reatail. And the real name is:

Counter-Strike

It started as a Half-Life mod and is currently the king of online MP FPS gaming (most servers; most players at any given time)

It has everything you're looking for and more. And it's what Infiltration is attempting to copy. Check it out.

If you own Half-Life you can download the mod for free. If you don't, you can purchase HL or purchase Counter-Strike at your favorite game retailer.

Now, if the gameplay in FPS mode is anything like the FPS's I'm used to, you guys better watch your backs. I'll be the dot on the hill that just added a new hole to your head

Warning, the retail CS sucks BIG TIME, no idea why, if you have the bandwidth, get the free version, it's much less crashy, although from what I understand they have a patch for it.

The downloadable is free, much more stable and yes, it is a ball!!! So download that puppy, don't buy it!! But you do need to buy Half-life, but once you do there are about 20 different mods for it out there!!
