Guest hindot Posted May 31, 2001 Report Posted May 31, 2001 I have been a devoted fan of the website, A Talent for War and since the trend of space combat has been shifting to MMOG there has been a lot under development but after reviewing all those games their is nothing that can compete with the sheer size of BCM or GCO. I am completely sold for these two games and the SC is IMO the best developer their is. We truly r playing the best game their ever is. As in the words of the SC, "God help the competition." The rest will imitate and fail. Long live the BC series!
Epsilon 5 Posted May 31, 2001 Report Posted May 31, 2001 Hehehe. Amen. But only GCO is an MMORPG, and I'll find a way to have money to play it, that'd for sure. I'm worried about that... even 10$ a month is a lot... but in fact it isn't... argh! I hate being choked by the money!...
Soback Posted June 1, 2001 Report Posted June 1, 2001 $10 a month is something, but look at it this way. Look at Ultima online, it basically tests and builds it's game as time goes on and complaints pile up. That game charges $10 a month and yet it's plagued by so many bugs that after playing for an hour you start wondering how the hell anyone has the conscience to even put that game in the stores instead of just releasing it free for download and attaching a release file to it with a warning that the game is just bieng tested. So basically not only you have to pay for the game but you are also paying the company to test it for them. My friend played it for 3 months, the after he made so many complaints and they basically blew him off he droped it. So if Derek will charge $10 a month to play GCO and he will deliver it like he promisses in gameplay and in shape, (and up to now he always did) then consider it cheap and well worth it.
Epsilon 5 Posted June 1, 2001 Report Posted June 1, 2001 My view:For the game quality, 10$ is not much, it's worthy. For my bugget, 10$ is a lot.

Pyros Posted June 1, 2001 Report Posted June 1, 2001 I currently give out $20 per month for online games 2* Everquest accounts one for me one for Paola I've already pre ordered Anarchy online 2 copies 27th June that will set me back another $26 because its 12.99 per month. But then again if you divide 12.99 out over 30 days you try doing something else for that price.Me and Paola don't drink or smoke so its easy to put that money into gamesYour not paying for the game with your $10 your paying for support and continual fixes. There is a difference between bug fixes and trying to get the owners of games to change them into what you want a game to be.In UO I never had any problem reporting bugs and them being fixed I also knew my lag wasn't there fault but my isp's fault.
