Okay sorry for not being around lately getting some hassle, most don't know but I with my wife run an online archive for adult fiction(scifi paranormal etc), I am a big advocate of free speech always liked adult fiction and decided to create my own site that had no banners or porn pics just a place adult writers could put there work.

Now recently a religious fanatic has been trying to shut me down he does it every 6 months or so (he lives in the UK and knows my wife is ill)

Mostly I laugh it off but its getting to the point I may haveto bring the police in, the below are his latest offerings to my email box.

Hope you can understand after reading them how much I want to take a personal interest in his health.

Um I don't think he is a christian. Perhaps he is simply confused about the concept of religion. Then again, maybe he is a pagan. If he is emailing your pay account then you can have him tracked and arrested for unsolisited email I think. Sorry about your wife too. Mine had cancer, but she pulled through it with all the radiation and shit. I would simply delete all his emails from now on, and make sure your site is hosted on a pay domain and that you have reasonable efforts to prevent younger children from getting onto it.

Oh honey! First off I had no idea you're wife had cancer and I send my heartfelt condolances and to let you know that I pray to the loving goddess for her health.

Secondly that man is very rude and incredably selfish. As a pagan I've come to look at religions objectivly and see them from non judgmental eyes. This man is no christian. He's crazy. I ran into a couple of Jehovah Witnesses while visiting Foss the other week and they didn't tell me that Paganism was wrong. In fact we talked for like an hour and a half debating the meaning of life.

In all honesty, I think you have a solid case of extortion here, he is telling you that if you pay, then he'll back off. This is a Felony in the United States, and will get you tracked down faster then you can say boo!!

I would go to the authorities with this and see if they can pursue it, because 5000 pounds is a lot of dough, and boy would he be in trouble here!!

Go to the authorities immediately. Not only do I see extortion in there I see a very solid death threat.

Don't delete them. Print them out for proof. Surely Britain has a branch of police for tracking down internet crimes.

Considering that there are about 10 things in those emails that are expressly forbidden in the Bible, we can be sure that religion isn't a motivation.

I'm not even a christian and I KNOW that this guy is not a christian. Historically or otherwise.

Go to the authorities. Now. Kick his butt. You do not have to put up with it. Period.

And I hope that all goes well with your wife. I know people who have fought cancer and are doing well. But this kind of crap can't be helpful to you or her.

Wait I have been doing some thinking last night. A religious fanatic in England? I know some religious people and they are all good people. I have not heard of any weird religious sect here before. If you think that he is not acting alone then he might be in a sect and if he represents a certain group of fundamentalist then by threatening you on some manner borderlines on terrorism. Now U.K does have a good law that curbs terrorism. But then again I really doubt that he has any religious motives and I tend to agree with the others that he is just another extortionist. DON'T U EVER GIVE HIM ANY MONEY!!! If you do it will never end there. Oh and about cancer, my mother in law had it twice in her breast. She survived both times and guess what at age 65 she is back working again. The hardest time for her was the Chemo (did i spell it right?) and durind radiotherapy. All that happened was she felt sickified for a few hours. After her treatment she decided that she would rather cut the breast that had the cancer twice as she couldn't be bothered to go through it again. I know its scary but if you have the will to live you will live! Just try to make your wife laugh a bit and tell her its gonna be okay because most cancers can be treated. Good luck again and send my love to your wife.

I've contacted the police, the letters constitute offences under s4 Protection from Harassment Act 1997, also threats to commit Arson, threats to Kill and Blackmail.

Personally if I knew where he lived i'd go after him with a very blunt knife.

A blunt knife? I'd put him in an ankle lock for fun, then I'd put him in your normal everyday cross body arm bar. But if i'm not mistaken Jack Straw tried to introduce some form of policing the internet which was meant to locate peodophiles. If I'm not mistaken it also covers harrasment the same way that 1471 can be used to get the phone number of the last person that called you. If the number is witheld, and the person calling was harrasing you BT or NTL can locate the place where it was dialed from. Maybe that might work but hey I'll come up with some better ideas soon.
