Lol killed and been killed by a few teammates myself could say something about Americans and friendly fire Buy another PC and run your own server like I said no guarantee of getting on though.

Eclipse Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 In HQ raid(MILES) IFF is a bit tougher mainly because both sides are basically the same save the pack. for cases like this, stick with your squad and let the rambo's get tagged. If you stick together anyone you see coming towards you won't be a friendly. Knowledge of where your frinds are is very important. Personally I stay away from the miles servers. you can get hit too many times for my liking. I prefer bridge or pipeline, though mountain ambush is also alot of fun.

I had one shot on a friend on HQ_raid, and one in Insurgent_camp. hold togheter? Tell that to all those CS junkies. I WISH everyone used militaristic tactics, but I seem the be the only one interested in that. Everyone goes in the general same direction, but no more.

Eclipse Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 all the CS junkies learn pretty quick on maps like Bridge. All it too was 2 guys with m249's and me with my m203 to stop em dead. after that the stream of cannon fodder slowed down and started to gel into a semblance of a team. they actually started to use cover, lean, semi think when lobing grenades and lay down cover fire. It'll takethem awhile but when they get stopped cold 2 seconds into a match about 10 for 15 times they start getting the idea that rushing ain;t gonna work.

Eclipse you should ask your army buddies And I remember that this problem was encountered by many people.

Guest Grayfox Posted July 11, 2002 Report Posted July 11, 2002 yep. i think maybe it was because on the first email addy i gave it had my pen name (frank jaeger) and on the submission form i put my real name. whereas the second addy i sent them had my real name. i dunno... i just hope they get the server problem fixed.

Well, even if you did get in, you'd be waiting in spectator mode forever or you would never authenticate, trust me, I know . They say the server problem is cause HomeLAN is overloaded. Well duh...... didn't they expect thousands of gamers to try to play on the first day?? No worrys, they claim that the server pack will be released monday. (Allows private servers to authenticate users). As for now, looks like most of us will have to wait for this problem to be fixed.

I even qualified... shooting on your allies isn't too much of a problem, it sucks, but less than in CS (as I remember) We weren't many on the server i played (quite a difference from before), and yes, we were holding together alot. Always trying to hold that church in the middle. Eh, I was always trying to find where the charlie objective was (which was kinda stupid considering I was in team honor), until I noticed my compass at the top indicated the location of the objectives... hehehe There aren't many weapons available, and sometimes the impossibility to have what you want sucks, but personally, I think both the m249 and m16 are good in their way. In insurgent camp (the other map I played).. all i can say is GRENADE!! Man it's RAINING grenades when on a team of 12 people 6 are grenadiers, and everyone has 4 frags, 2 smokes and 2 flash. but there's nothing like being suprised by a party of 4 incoming your way, and backing off to get some heavy support (AKA 2 gunners - m249). i was killed by a grenade later then
