CD copy stopper

Yeah, right

I bet I can rig up a bypass relay linked to an electro-pulse emitter array and then grab the intercepted signals within the Red fields of a spectrum analyzer. Then read those back in to a pair of cheap Radio Shack diode plugs - and then clip each diode plug to each of my nipples, flip a switch and be able to bypass this system!

Of course, since this would no doubt be region based, for US encoded CDs or DVDs, you'd clip the plugs to your nipples. For Japan, you'd clip them to each of your testicles. If you happen to be in Russia, then I would suggest clipping the left node to your right nipple and the right node to your left butt cheek.

Word of warning, you don't want to be standing to close to a network WiFi access point or you'd just end up getting interference and rendering the CD useless.

Thats is going to be cracked so fast that it will make their heads spin.

You're hacking program device SC sounds a bit painful, might be easier to just buy the thing!!

But hey, some people are into putting clips on their nipples and other asundry places, so we could probably hire a bunch a masochists and mass pirate the software!!

THey might even do it for free!! LOL

LOL, SC, I can't, how do you come up with stuff like that. I would love to go bar hopping with you, wanna see what you will come up with after a couple of beers and some vodka shots.

That wont get too far..., people usually find a weakness and then crack. Every copy protection is breached

You can easily find a crack for every game on the market right now

And about that thing of installing the software on more than an allowed number of machines is very very foolish and stupid... what if i installed software x in this machine then i get a new machine? come on this sounds really silly

Agreed.

i knew you guys would know what that was, that is why i didnt say

and i wouldnt enlighten the explanation of that on a public board for a million spacebucks... thank god for PM's

now for going back on topic, look at clonecd... all you needed was the right type of CDR and their software, and you could pirate anything... stuff with safedisk, SD2, et. al.

there is always SOMEONE out there working on a way to crack stuff... always... cripes look at the cdkeygen programs that are out there...

it may take a bit longer for someone to crack this one, but eventually it will happen

Those people like challenges, its the nature of hackers... the tougher the protection the more they want to work on that

As an example: SONY is one of the most agressive in piracy and they were one of the first to get cracked (modchips for their playstations, etc)

It's the nature of humanity! In all contextes, the harder it is to do something, the more people will try to it.

Like marijuana, when they say 1 kid on 2 smokes pot, and that legalising it would REDUCE that, I believe it. It's a challenge, because it's illegal, else, it's just a "bigger smoke"

RIIIIIGHHT!

1 - How big would that be installed? WAYYY too much.

2 - Hackers can strip down the game (and probably will)

3 - 4 cds? who will pay for that? (production costs)

and at last...

4 - What kind of crap you'd need to be able to fill 4 cds?

Besides, lots of games today have 2 cds, and that doesn't stop anyone from hacking / downloading those, and even some have 3 cds (NWN is the only which comes to my mind)

1. all the games i have that are OVER 3 cd's in size installed in under 1 gb.

2. you dont see many stripped down 3+ cd games

3. hmmm seems like interplay is interested... look at klingon academy AND baldurs gate 1 and 2. KA has 6 yes 6 cd's, baldurs gate 1 has 5, and BG2 has 4. and as well as the games sold, apparently someone liked them... duh

4.hmmm lets put some thought into this one... klingon academy had a whole bunch of movie files. *GASP* maybe thats why that game was 6 cd's... nahhhh. baldurs gate was 5 cd's but didnt have any large video files... maybe it was because it was such a huge friggin area to play in???

*sigh*

Depends. Bcm areas are not much detailed, compared to most games. Space only has a few objects here and there, planets only have elevation maps and most bases are made from templates (did you noticed almost all bases look the same?)

I played neither of these games, but I know what BG is

Of course we'll have to solve the problem of signal degradation caused by pectoral stimulus by the diode plugs. Maybe cryogenics would be the order of the day?

Not to mention the possibility of homotrons being introduced as well.

Perhaps if we just add a fuse for them to blow we could solve that problem.

As for the Japanese method of attachment I would definitely recommend limited use of cryogenics to the application area.

Now the Russians always do everything bassackwards. Install large, and I mean LARGE alligator clips. You know, the ones that look like a Bear trap.

As for hood piercing, I once pierced the hood of a 74 Ford with a rather large screwdriver. Working on Fords always pisses me off!
