Guest Posted September 20, 2002 Report Posted September 20, 2002 I sold my house in Forest Grove Oregon Last night and my family and I are finally moving to Gig Harbor Washington. So I will officially be a washingtonian again on the 1st of October. The Place we are moving into has high speed internet access via cable, so I will be up and running at home by the 15th of October. I am a VERY happy camper!! I have had the house on the market for 7 months and have been working in Gig Harbor for over 5 months!! I will continue to check in as I have been via my work T-1!! Thought that I'd share the news. So Dragon Lady, I am a washingtonian too!! I was born here, so it's not too big a deal, but I am still excited. People I know who had DSL (before switching to cable) say that they got disconnected from DSL every 2 hours and had to reconnect.

Maybe you can poll your neighbors and see how many of them are on cable. I don't know about cable, but some DSL companies will give you monthly dialup time. I've had no disconnects yet with my DSL company, and I do get 10 hours of dialup a month. Go to Broadband Reports, and lookup your provider and see if they are getting good reviews from other users.
