Night In Front Of The TV - Taken

After watching the first week of Steven Spielberg's Taken, I find it pretty good albeit some slow parts.

A lot of it seems to follow what I've read on UFOs and such.

Thoughts?

I caught part 1 and have so far taped part 2-4.

Its as boring as all hell. I sure hope it picks up soon.

I agree with you, Sir -- I've seen the first 5 parts, and yes, it is a bit slow. But then again, Close Encounters is a lot slower.... At least the special effects are vastly improved over the original C.E.

I don't know what the next week holds for us, but I will find out (if I can keep on my cable that long -- next Friday is payday....) I'll probably get the collection when it comes out on DVD.

Over the years, I've done a lot of UFO research. The government is hiding something, and their stories and press-releases read like bad science fiction, in my book. Roswell started this mess, and although I know they were involved in other classified projects, this one they've kept under wraps too long to be ignored. The Air Force's release of "Case Closed" raises more questions than it answers, and I'll deal with this in a seperate thread -- thanks for reminding me!

Ive known some one who has got his hands on The Blue Book and he was surprised with what he read.

Not too much about UFOs but more of things that have never been explained like this one about a jet test pilot who had just broke the sound barrier when he noticed something behind him on his rader and when he turned around too look it was a b-17 bomber.

The pilot couldn't belive his eyes and moved abit close to get a better look, when he was close enough he looked into the cockpit and saw the pilot waving at him. The jet pilot got to close and the wings of the two aircraft touched and when that happened the b-17 took off into the distance and disappered.

Everybody the man told thought that he was crazy until a couple of days later they found and old rusted b-17 bomber in a barn down the road from the base and on the wing of that bomber was a silver streak of paint.

This sounded like some made up story to me, but it was documented in The Blue Book as an unsolved encounter so I dont know.

I saw some new information on the Sci-Fi Channel a couple of weeks ago -- Bryant Gumble was the host. Cool program, as it started me thinking about this mess again. I need to reorganise my information and links, and make sure that the old stuff I have listed is still online. We shall see. On this subject, the government has been far from totally honest with anybody, including their own people, since 1947.

In 1996 (from memory here...) they released "Roswell: Case Closed," but several researchers have debunked it, since there are quite a few parts that don't follow military history. Again, bad science fiction, but they had 50-years to come up with a plausable explanation.....
