It violates my principles to PAY for a beta. $5.95 for the cd's, then $6 shipping? That is 1/4 of a REAL game right there. Now, many of you might say "But most mmorpg's release in a beta state," and I must reply: I refuse to pay for any game monthly. I would prefer game companies to charge only if you use their servers, and provide server software for people to host free servers independantly. Like allegiance, before it died. But that being said, I cant wait for Battlecruiser Generations It is the perfect opportunity to wreak havoc around the galaxy with a couple of friends... (opposed to 1000+ 12 year olds).

Me and the 30000+ people in the Planetside didn't pay a penny for it And having to pay to test has a severe downside, everytime something goes wrong, the 12yo kiddies will bring the "but I paid for this game" argument, as if it was the company that owned them something special.
