As an aside note, i think that $900 million projected loss must've used some Enron-style "fuzzy math" to reach - the article said that there were 5000 people lined up to buy Frazier's unit, unless i'm very much mistaken, that would mean that if each of those people were to pay for their cable, they would each have to pay $180,000 to reach the $900 million total.

I've been saying that all along. I just happen to catch the tail end of a CNN interview last night. Can't remember the gentlemen's name but the gist of the entire article was about the record industry and downloading ruckus. For the artist, that's not a bad thing because from what I understand is that the artist has to use his own money to front the tour to help promote his/her cd while the artist only makes $1-$2 per cd in profit. Anyway, what the article failed to mention is that RIAA is not going after the casual downloader but that guy or gal whose download massive amounts everyday and more than likely they are the ones making those illegal/bootled copies the ones that you see guys selling out the back of their van. That I don't condone making money like that without the blood, sweat and tears of making the cd. And don't forget about the issue of Artists ripping off other Artists without compensation as was the case with "The Verve" and now with "Dr DRE" to name just a few.
