Fractux Posted July 5, 2003 Report Posted July 5, 2003 I don`t think they should have made this public at all, because, while they say their intentions were not to inflict any damage, they did use the threat of releasing it and they have now done so. However, if they had no intentions of causing any harm or creating a rukus (which was the only way to get publicity though, so in one sense, I can see why they made the threat), they should not have released it tothe public. Just send it to Microsoft, and if they don`t want to do anything about it, then fine. Then just wait untill another person who wishes to release a hack creates their own and then decided to go public. Then again, from this ZDnet article ( http://www.zdnet.com.au/newstech/security/...275965-1,00.htm ) it looks like this group could have made itself 100 grand. There`s incentive enough, I suppose. Maybe they`ll have to use it to fight off the MS legal team.. ouch! Then again, it was mentioned that there sre several ways for MS to counter the hack so maybe this is just a dead end.
XOR Posted July 5, 2003 Report Posted July 5, 2003 How come MS(evil empire) doesnt just hire a bunch of bounty hunters to get the hackers and then the bounty hunters will pull out their blasters and... blast them and then the creds will start rolling in and they can go buy a house and live the sweet life ohh yea. lol sorry been playing too much SWG

It's no wonder MS either ignores things or is slow to respond. *I heard rumors that Bill Gates bought the rights to Monopoly and has revamped it. It's new title is Microsoft Monopoly and they've replaced all the board company's with Tech Companies and Boardwalk has been replaced by Bill Gates Way. *(This is just a joke don't go all crazy looking for the info on the internet)
