Guest Grayfox Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 ahhh yes...im glad i moved wheni did. i missed this whole media circus. on the one hand, im glad they are giving education the attention it deserves, cause schools in nevada just plain suck. on the other, joe taxpayer is going to get reamed, because you know they wont tax the gaming industry anymore... oh noooo too many politicians in the gaming communities pocket. tax gaming you say??? well no more penthouse suite and showgirls for you mister state politician. you would think that with almost a billion dollars in revenue just from gaming, they would be able to have a balanced budget and no state deficit.

Have you noticed ever since they made cigarettes $6+ a pack all the states have been strugling with taxes all because the government wants to control people's habits. The whole thing is complete total BS. They make Billions of dollars a year in gambleing. THAT is the money they should be using to pay for education. Freaking pots of Gold everywhere and the Fools tax the middle class for schools...
Kalshion Posted July 12, 2003 Author Report Posted July 12, 2003 ooh things are just going to get worse.. thats why my dad and I are planing on moving out oh well I only have one year of school left after that I won't have to worry about this place and yes we have millions of dollers that are not being used at all.. yet they turn there back and do this.. wtf ever happened to the constitution? I mean can't the US Supreme Court jump on this sense it was unconstitutional?

I blame the citizens of this country for just sitting on their duffs and not getting tough with the politicians. I can only speak for NY state but the expenditures for the prison system is twice more than it is for education. That alone speaks volumes. Where's all the taxes that generated from Las Vegas and and the tourists? Well they can't tax the poor they don't have the money (we support them for that) the rich guys won't get taxed cause they are the ones we keep putting into power and they are not gunna tax their own social class which includes themselves so there's only on section left the slap happy middle-class.

Our so called mayor used threats and hostigees *the schools* in order to get the supreme court of nevada to pass this bill =(

You need to run that guy outa town the old fashioned way . Well at least all of ya's need to take to the street in mass and protest right in front of his house. And you Nevada citizens also need to email the hell outa the supreme court telling them you are all very, very, very, very upset at the tactics of this so-called mayor. Well you get the idea.
