I watched it as a kid, many years ago. It was the adventures of animal looking people (they weren't very detailed though) in space and stuff, the main characters i recall of were a frog and a giraffe (which was in love with a more classy scientist) an I think there was a 3rd guy with them. They were flying in a green rocket ship that always had some troubles and was seriously outdated

Your brain wasn't working right as a kid to tell the difference between big bird and a giraffe (both being yellow, tall and long necked, its understandable).
