Just saw this on CNN. What's you opinion. I'll throw in a quick opinion to start it off. All I can see it as is just another organization wanting to control things. Take for example the movie KILL BILL they claim because of the commercial and it's "R" rating it's marketing kids. I dunno about that. I've seen the commercial and it's just showing clips from the movie. How's that targeting children? And what's happened to the parents? Have they become dumb all of a sudden that they should need an organization like this to coach them about what their children should and should not watch or play. Besides, no matter how you market or rate the product, it won't stop a determend kid from it. Believe me I know. I use to be that kid .

I'd like to also delve into another comment on their site "Just as attitudes about.....smoking have changed". All they did was price it out of the reach of kids (yes believe it not they'd still like to smoke but they just can't afford it) and in

doing so has penalized the adults who have the choice and right to smoke. And all they've done is push it into the hands of Drug Dealers (smart move dumb a$$es). I know because every time I go past my local druggy corners you don't hear them just say want weed, want cocaine noooooo wanna buy some butts too alot cheaper also. Sure chase them kids to drug dealers where they can buy their cigarettes it's a hell of a lot cheaper.

groups like this are a crutch for parents too weak willed to control their own children. its really not that diffucult to "filter" what your child watches as long as you have half a brain.

would i let my boy see kill bill? of course not. do i think the movie preview is targeting kids? no.

just another excuse for weak willed parents to use to keep the balme of bad parenting of themselves...

First off, there's already laws in place that limit where and when you can advertise R rated films. Those laws alone prevent R rated movies from being marketed to children. Kill Bill is marketted to all those of us that grew up watching the kung fu & samurai movies of yesteryear.

The thing is that kids will always want to be part of whatever is hip with the adults. Therefore it is impossible to market something to adults without creating equivalent or greater buzz amongst youngsters.

But you know what, why don't we just do away with all forms of mature-targetted entertainment anyway. Whatever makes the small special interest groups feel powerful, right? I don't think I could live in a world where everymovie is Toy Story and every game is Yugioh. Nevertheless, that's what they want.

Some conclude that exposure to violent games and movies increase violent tendencies while others conclude that the ÔÇÿimaginaryÔÇÖ violence acts as a vent, decreasing ÔÇÿrealÔÇÖ violent tendencies. What is your opinions do you have about the studies concluding that ÔÇÿimaginaryÔÇÖ violence acts as a vent, decreasing ÔÇÿrealÔÇÖ violent tendencies?
