Eclipse Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 In my wanderings across the web, I came across a site that might bring back some memories for a few people: the battlecrusier website from 1998. Have fun! http://web.archive.org/web/19980711055944/...w.bc3000ad.com/
Guest $iLk Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Yeah I was on the webarchive a few weeks ago pulling up old fansites and whatnot that are long since gone.
Guest Remo Williams Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Wow! Now that was awhile back. Sure was a fun learning to play BC3K though as I remember.
Joel Schultz Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 The piece of ancient 3000AD lore I'm curious about is what's the "Blind Man with Sleeves" award and what DeSylva did that got him it...
Eclipse Posted March 30, 2004 Author Report Posted March 30, 2004 IIRC it has something to do with successfully capturing/destroying either Gammula or Spectre piloting only a fighter.
echo Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 Why don't I remeber that? Was that before me?

I just tried piloting a Raven super fighter to Gamma-2. It was blown up as soon as it finished HJ off the station's bow. How'd DeSylva pull that one off?
Eclipse Posted April 6, 2004 Author Report Posted April 6, 2004 He used BC3K, stations were easier to attack then.
Joel Schultz Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Drat. You know, I kinda miss the days when dogfighting was so much simpler. I remember playing X-Wing and its expansion packs -- the main reason I first bought a PC -- sending all my wingmen home and singlehandedly taking on the Empire. I can't count how many Star Destroyers I took out out with my lone starfighter. And which somehow would reappear for the next mission...
