Guest Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 This is ONE of the MANY reasons that I do NOT shop at Walmart, and also request that my family not buy me gifts from Walmart as well. Walmart is a power buyer, and they are an aggressive and carnivorous company. It is a dangerous company, that I refuse to do ANY business with. I do not do business with such companies, I have had DIRECT contact with a company that HAD to send it's production overseas in order to do business with Walmart, and Walmart not only requested them to do it, they REQUIRED them to. The company layed off it's 200 production workers, and basically killed the local economy of the little town it was in. It was the largest employer in the community.
jamotto Posted December 2, 2004 Author Report Posted December 2, 2004 I would have to agree, but sadly at the rate things are going, Wally World will be the last company standing.
street228 Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Nomad, Assuming EVERYTHING is as EXACTLY as you have described.............What would be the most realistic and rational course of action, to solve this problem.....and by whome.....as you see the equation in it's entire form? I know this covers a huge area, and there is no single event, which can change anything..., but the most basic generalization, describing a multi-faceted reform; Natiional and Internationally....is what I am trying to understand. what reforms, and by whome ...would be the most appropriate or desired equation to offer a desired result? It is YOUR OPINION , which I am interested... thanx
