Guest Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 I have been on DSL for the last 2 years, since I moved to Gig Harbor. Cable was just too expensive, and I didn't want cable TV. Comcast now allows you to have the Internet without the basic cable, and it was cheaper then DSL. I went for it. I tested the DSL, and it tested at 68.6, and I tested the cable 1768, that's Kbs..... I am just blown away, like Night and day, I feel like my DSL was dialup....
jamotto Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 Cable can be a great thing, but as more people sign up the bandwidth available to you just keeps going down. DSL is not without it's problems either though. Now I just wish the cost for a T3 line would come down Ok, yea I know I'm dreaming.

Time Warner Cable pretty much had that since they started Road-Runner. My DSL clocks in at 1.5mps (1500kbs). I did that upgrade (at no xtra cost which I mentioned before) and same here in respects to the speed increase reaction a big diff from what my 768kbs was.
Guest Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 I went from cable to DSL and the DSL was helluva better thanks to the low ping times and good latency. It wasnt until 3mbit cable was in my area that I switched back..for then the dsl couldnt compete.
