LostInSpace Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Famed attorney Johnnie Cochran, 67, perhaps best known for his defense of O.J. Simpson, died Tuesday at his home in Los Angeles. Looks like hell is getting filled up pretty good there goes another lawyer.
Supreme Cmdr Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Now that wasn't a nice thing to say, was it? Kindly show more respect for dead - and respected - people.
Cc Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Didn't realize he was having medical problems. Just another example of how millions of dollars can't buy you good health.
Kevin Trotter Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 For the ignorant and unaware, prior to the Simpson case, Cochran did groundbreaking work helping poor people being brutalized by the police in LA in the 60's. It is safe to say that a lot of the police reform in LA could be credited to his work...BTW his son is a Sgt in the LA police Dept. Cochran also worked to free Geronimo Pratt who was wrongfully accused and jailed for 27 years. Mr Cochran never collected a fee and work pro bon for 27 years. I hope to God none of you ever have need for a lawyer.
