Guest Hellbinder[CE] Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 Derek have you given any thought or had opportunity to go with Atari as your Publisher? Just wondering. I think that the BC Series would be a Perfect game for the Atari lineup. Not to mention that for some reason it just seems right when I put the Two together in my head. What do you know about the current version of Atari? Are they cool people to work with?
Guest Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 I still think that he ought to publish the games himself, this whole publisher thing is insane, and the fact is, as straight up as he is, he will have developers beating down his doors to get him to publish their games as well. After all that he is been through, most of the developers will know for certain that he will NOT do to them, what has been done to him. I'll take the whole northwest, and sell the hell out of it and get us shelf space, etc, etc, (for a small percentage of course). There is no reason, with the amount of professionals on this board, that we can't launch and make successful a 3000AD publishing company...
Guest Hellbinder[CE] Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 Actually 3000AD publishing does have a really nice ring to it.
John Prezioso Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 3000AD Publishing. Man, now there's a publisher I can root for! Watch out EA!
Guest Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 I really need to watch my mouth... Sorry SC, been tired....
Cruis. In Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 haha Jaguar! I think online would do just fine, since I order all my games online.
TARWMSRK Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 This is what id like: To get the game at 12:01am on the day of release without me having to leave my computer.
Guest Hellbinder[CE] Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 Carl.. The answer is Steam from Valve. It is the Future. I PReordered Halflife 2 and it precached the game way in advanced. At 12:01 AM The Login servers Released the Security and Blamo i was playing HL2. Steam and Content Delivery Services are the way of the future. Of course thats going to really hurt the Malls and Game outlet stores.
TARWMSRK Posted June 11, 2005 Report Posted June 11, 2005 Yes, thats what I was referring to. Played that game for 7 hours straight after downloading it
Guest Posted June 11, 2005 Report Posted June 11, 2005 quote:Originally posted by Cruis. In: how long did it take you to download it? It doesn't matter, because you never see it, when your line is not being used, Steam would use it to download the game, it would start and stop whenever it had the bandwidth available. So, by the time of release, it was sitting on your harddrive, just waiting for the code to release it.
