Kevin Trotter Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Well the missus, the artist formerly known as the evil one aka my daughter, and I just returned from our vacation. What a blast! We went to The Kalahari Resort, an African themed resort in of all places Ohio. It has an indoor SURFING! facillity, waterpark, arcade, four resturants, four boutiques/stores, a pizza place, a sushi bar and an indoor water based rollercoaster. Our suite had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, a large jacuzzi, 25 different movies to choose from, wireless keyboard for internet access to the TV, and for 4.95 a choice of games to be played on the tv for four hour periods of time. The wife and I havent had a real vacation since my five year old was born and after a very rough month at work we were loking forward to it with baited breath. My kid went nuts since most of the stuff was aimed at her including the worlds biggest Tree house called Treetop which was a huge play area full of slides, climbing areas, water cannons ,ball cannons, monkey bars etc. She also got to pose with a white tiger cub who is the mascot of the place. She also got to make and eat her own candy, design and paint and fire her own pottery. We wont even talk about the food, which my fat ass ate too much of. All in all I had a ball and still got my workouts in at the fitness center 3 out of the six days we were there I must admit it was hard to come back home, but we have already booked a return trip for the dead of winter. I recommend this place to anyone in the east or midwest looking for some family fun..Alos its good to be back among you guys, SC, Fox, Jag, Echo, Joel, $ilk I missed you but now Im back!
Guest Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 LOL, sounds like you had a ball. That's great stuff, and welcome back, we missed you too. OMG, oh man, what a mess!! We went from 875 sq feet and a 400 sq foot garage, to a 2200 sq foot house, and a 500 sq foot shop, and I am tripping all over the place. I cannot believe that I fit that much crap in the garage of the old place, it fricking EXPLODED!!! My wife and I are overwhelmed, it will get under control, but OMG, I cannot believe how compact we were, and now it's everywhere!! LOL
