  1. [rp] 1500, March 15, 3008 Octura-6, Omega Centauri Evacuation klaxons were finally silence on one of the disabled warships in system. Which pleased the shipÔÇÖs commander and crew to no end and what was left of crew finally stood down from emergency stations. The warshipÔÇÖs status was once again perilous and NMC (non-mission capable). Basic ship functions had been restored to minimum operational levels but that was about it. Nuclear reactor had to be shut down before it went critical. Solar reactor was down 50% from optimum. More systems could be brought on-line once the power situation of the warship was rectified. For some reason, the chief engineer of the warship insisted on obtaining a supply of bubble-gum from somewhere which he said if he had that the warship would be up and running no time. Only one shuttle could be pieced together and placed on flight status out of all the warshipÔÇÖs support craft. Needless to say that this warship is a mess. Fatigue ran rampant amongst the crew. Mistakes were becoming more common place and were causing more damage than the battle had to the disabled warship. The commander ordered 100% stand-down for all members of the crew. Several Marines were stationed at key locations throughout the ship and ordered to rest-in-place in full battle gear, just in case Murphy appeared once again. Mother was set to stand-by and would only warn the crew if the warship were targeted by any space vessels or boarded. With as many precautions taken as he could, the commander left his chair and headed for his quarters. Trailing not far behind him, the Gunney ensured that the commander made to his quarters without mishap or getting disorientated along the way. 1415, March 15, 3008 LV-103, Alpha Cygni LV-104, Alpha Cygni LV-105, Alpha Cygni Without warning the Warriors of the Gammulan Empire simultaneously raided resistance locations through out the Falkyrie worlds. They rounded up most of the known and all suspected members of the Falkyrie resistance. Several but not all of the Terran advisors were killed during these raids. Many Falkyrie resistance fighters lost their lives to save the few surviving Terran advisors from the Warriors. Gammulan atrocities against the Falkyries increased as the contained bloodlust of Warriors was released. One Terran advisor managed to transmit a short message before she too was killed and mutilated by the battle-crazed Warriors. 1415, March 15, 3008 Jupiter, Sol Near the Pluto/Jupiter Jump Point The four warships split up into to pairs, one Ter/Merc Stormcarrier and one Zel/Assassin Galactan Class BC in each, and began to patrol the Jupiter system. They had received word that the target had not been terminated and that the bounty still held, though increased 25%. Their instructions remained the same ÔÇô Intercept the target and terminate with extreme prejudice; no survivors. 1429, March 15, 3008 Undetermined Location, Sol Information had filtered to Hari from his handler that the first attempt had failed but the operation was still valid. Preliminary initiation of fall-back plan Z-3 and R-604 immediately. Hari acknowledged the change to his handler and commenced to go to work. Same time frame but elsewhere in the Sol System Unbeknownst to Hari or his handler, someone else noticed their conversation and put into action another set of events that could determine and undermine events in the Sol system for all time. The someone made note of the data and accessed other areas Hari was privy to. The smile on the face of the someone was like a that of a child in a candy factory of old, as new data was transmitted and randomly routed to two recipients. One was a Raven and the other had Mirrored Glasses. 1438, March 15, 3008 Hadar-9, Cyrian Tyrus-2, Krynon The battle was short and sweet. The defending Wraith and Mandorian forces fought a delaying battle as the bulk of their warships escaped through the jump point to Tyrus-2. Once again the two outnumbered and outgunned defenders replayed delaying tactics that sapped at the strength of the advancing Gammulan fleet. The combined strength of the Wraith and Mandorian warships had diminished to half of what it was at Hadar-9 but the Gams were taking a licking too. Forty Gammulan warships were lost before the last fleeing Wraith and Mandorian vessel departed Tyrus-2 for their next line in the sand in the Kandorian Homesystem of Lydan. 1415, March 15, 3008 Special Session Kandorian Military Headquarters Lydan, Krynon The Gammulan threat was real just as the Terran Wraiths had foretold. Already several Kandorian worlds had been attack by Gammulan Forces. This infuriated the heads of Kandorian Military and Government. With not dissenting voice all agreed that the Gammulan attack constituted and act of war. The Kandorian had declared war on the Gammulan Empire and would not rest until the Gammulan presence had been erased from Kandorian territory and the Credian Quadrant. Already the Gammulan Warships that had attack the planetary surface of Lydan were being engaged by both Wraith and Kandorian Warships. More Wraith and some Mandorian warships were entering the system via the Tyrus-2 and Kyrus jump points now. The news brought by those coming from Tyrus-2 was grim but not unexpected ÔÇô The Gammulans were coming. 1508, March 15, 3008 Near the wreckage that once was Wraith-HQ Rinaal, Cyrian A Jenstar transport entered the Rinaal system via the Pravis jump point. A specially equipped shuttle craft was launched from the bowels of the transport. Once clear of its mothership the shuttle laid in a course towards the twisted bulk of wreckage that had once been Wraith-HQ space station and activated its hyper-drive engines. Upon reaching its destination and exiting hyper-space near the wreckage, sensors and special survey equipment were activated in the cargo bay of the shuttle. Technicians and engineers began to analyze the data and compared it to data they had brought with them. Smiling the ecstatic technicians and engineers signaled the shuttle pilot that their mission was complete and that they could return the waiting transport mothership. The Jenstar transport exited the Rinaal system, after the shuttle docked with it, the way it had came. The mission was a success and there were several people up the food chain that would be pleased with the data that mission obtained in Rinaal. Today was a good day for the cause and marked another yet sign that the status-quo was rotting and weakening from within the oppressors. Corsair's Cove

Ok Dairy Queen time - aka Dumb Question(s) 1. How many Corsairs are still in Corsair Wing. Seems that at least two have found greener grass since I since I initiated the roll call. 2. To the FC - Where is the fleet roster at? The one on the Wraith website be very, very old. End questions now to BMC department... Tac - ye gots to do something with the Wraith website. Java be great but man, that site is a bugger to nav thru. I suggest adhering to the K.I.S.S. principle. Am I volunteering? naw, my html be limited to little nick-nack eye-candy smack here at forum. Which reminds me, I gots to get my construction done for Corsair Cove TTFN BTW, nice hat Tac...quite fashionable I might add. 4. A fair summary Ben, thanks Where the hell is Tac when I/we need him? Repercussions oh-my, Wraith-HQ was destroyed on the orders of Fleet Commander Londono aka Tac I am aware that what happens on the RP forum more than likely will not make it into the Official BC Timeline but tone can only  IAW previous requests the following is provided from thread stated in my previous post and should put everything in one nutshell as far as I am concerned: quote:March 3008 : The Second Gammulan War erupts. For four days, March 14th to the 18th, a wave of Gammulan forces systematically obliterate the advance facilities of GALCOM's Wraith Fleet from hiding places in asteroid belts and debris fields in and around Gammulan, Credian, and Terran space. They then mass for a frontal attack on Sol from Lyrius. The last remnants of Wraith Fleet manage to hold off the Gammulan forces in a sixteen hour running battle through Sirius space, until Prime and Orion Fleet reinforcements arrive to bolster the flagging fleet and hold the Gammulans back. This battle, known as the Wraith Massacre, would be the first confrontation of a war that would ultimately last until 3014. This four day battle and the tactical redeployment, aka retreat of Wraith Fleet is currently be played out on the RP Forum. Wraith-HQ is destroyed by Wraith Fleet personnel so that it would not fall into the hands of the Gammulan Empire. Insurgent Infiltrators could have faked the destruction Wraith-HQ and lifted vital and sensitive data from the stations computer systems prior to initiating the grand charade. Wraith Fleet personnel were rather busy at the time fighting the Gammulans and would have thought that it was their personnel that set the charges that blew the station. Once the Rinaal system is cleared of Gam and Wraith activity the Insurgents could come back and capture the station after making minor repairs to it. As Ben stated, a interesting twist to the story  I like it Current RP action is on day two of the four day battle that will be known as the Wraith Massacre on the RP forum soon. Notice that the Insurgency is not mentioned. DeSylva stated later on in his Farewell thread that he did not want to put words in any Insurgents mouths. After much debate, Insurgent One and his trusted cohorts agreed to DeSylvas point and said that the Insurgents would write their own history  or words to that effect. Quoted below is the rest of what I call the BCT-D, Battlecruiser Timeline  DeSylva that was debated on said thread. I left out anything before 3008 and after 3014, the end of the Second Gammulan War. quote:Terran bases and colonies in the Sirius, Polaris, and Procyon systems are captured and the residents placed under arrest in their homes by Gammulan forces. Rumors of atrocities being committed in the Procyon system filter through to Terran media services. By the end of the war, civilian casualties are estimated at around 3.2 million lives. The raider presence in Sirius is eliminated, with starstation Pixan being destroyed. The trader stations of Centron and Velari are captured by Gammulan forces. May 3008 : In the second major space confrontation in the Second Gammulan War, a combined EarthCOM and GALCOM fleet pushes through to hold the Lyrius region of Sirius. Nearly fifteen Terran capital ships are lost, as opposed to twenty five Gammulan capital ships. The Gammulans reinforce their position behind the Lennen jump gate. October 3008 : While repeated clashes occur between Terran and Gammulan forces across the Lyrius-Lennen battlefield, reserve Gammulan forces are pushing into Insurgent and Raider territory. By the end of October 3008, Gammulan forces occupy Barnard's Star, Polaris, and Procyon. The Raiders are quickly vanquished, but the invasion of Barnard's Star costs Gammulan forces heavily as the Insurgents resist the Gammulan incursion, before pulling back and filtering through to their secret base in Credian territory. April 3009 : Terran forces mount another push, managing to smash their way into Lennen and hold the Lennen side of the Polaris-2 jump point. The Battle of Lennen costs Terran forces nearly ten thousand lives, while the Gammulans manage to escape relatively unscathed, falling back and abandoning Lennen when they become outnumbered. Construction begins on Starstation Liberty, a fortified outpost built in the remains of Pixan Starstation, that will house the Terran Area Command. Its construction takes approximately four months. December 3009 : A combined GALCOM Prime, Orion, and EarthCOM force, codename Unicorn, manages to penetrate Barnard's Star and establish a foothold in the Zilon region. With support from the science outpost Toron 1 in Krystar, as well as Trader security forces from the trading outpost at Toron 2 in Rebellan, they begin a concentrated campaign against Gammulan forces in the area. May 3010 : The Battle of Two Fronts is fought in Sygan, the old home of the Insurgency and now a Gammulan stronghold. The remains of the Unicorn force launch a final attack on the Gammulan forces operating out of Starstation Sygan, and are joined by a second force of Wraith Fleet craft attacking from Lennen. In an eight hour battle, Starstation Sygan is destroyed and the Gammulan Fleet is all but obliterated. This is the first major Gammulan loss in the war. Gammulan forces begin to regroup in Polaris and Procyon. In what is to become a standard tactic, Gammulan forces scatter when the call to retreat is made and hide throughout the Barnard's Star and Tau Ranis systems, continuing to make sporadic raids and attacks until the end of the war. October 3010 : The 133rd Space Marine Battalion (Strike), nicknamed the "Serpent's Cross", defect in their entirety to Gammulan forces. In a battle known as the Turning War, the 133rd Space Marine Battalion turn on their counterparts, the 143rd Space Marine Battalion (Strike) in the midst of a fight with Gammulan forces. All of the ships of the 143rd are destroyed and the Serpent's Cross disappear behind enemy lines. EarthCOM renegade hunters manage to capture only two of the renegade vessels. Interrogation of the Command Crews of these craft reveals that the Commanding Officer of the 133rd Space Marine Battalion, Fleet Commander Terence Dreyton, a talented GALCOM officer, was lured to defect with the promise of a High Command position in the Gammulan Empire. The 133rd Space Marine Battalion took with it 30 GALCOM capital ships and around 25,000 GALCOM personnel. A month later, three of the Battalion's transports are discovered in Polaris-2, loaded with nearly ten thousand dead Terrans, presumably those who refused to defect. By the end of the war, only 10 of the ships of the 133rd Space Marine Battalion would be recovered or destroyed. It is assumed that the remaining craft and their crew were retained by the Gammulans for study and research. April 3011 : A concerted Gammulan counterstrike lays siege to Starstation Liberty in Lennen. Over the course of a week, Gammulan forces blockade the station, fending off four attempts to recapture the station. Eventually, the crew of the Liberty evacuate, and half of the evacuation craft are destroyed, the remainder being picked up by Terran forces in the area. The Command Crew of the station remain on board, capitulating to the Gammulan forces, before self-destructing the station. In doing so, they destroy both themselves and six Gammulan capital ships attempting to board the station. The loss of a foothold in Lennen leads to Terran forces having to withdraw to Lyrius. For the first time in the war, Sol begins to be fortified in anticipation of Gammulan forces breaking through. Over the next year, Terran forces manage to hold off numerous Gammulan assaults, taking heavy losses. This time becomes known as the Dark Days. January 3012 : GALCOM diplomats strike a bargain with Syrion forces. The enigmatic biomechanicals agree to mobilise a part of their army to provide a military force that can guard the GALCOM territories and defend them from an attack from the rear, as occurred in the First Gammulan War. As a result, EarthCOM and the GALCOM allied races are able to throw their remaining ships into the war effort. The Vesperons and Empirians are initially reluctant to commit, but as the Terran war effort falters in Sirius and the Gammulans threaten to penetrate Sol itself, they realise that an invasion of Sol means that an attack on Empirian and Vesperon territories could be imminent March 3012 : With the new ships, the combined GALCOM and EarthCOM forces are able to push back into Lennen and recommence attacks on the bulk of the Gammulan forces in Polaris-2. In a large scale battle known as the Battle of Longreach-424, named after a comet that was passing through the area of the battle, GALCOM and allied fighters use the tail of the comet to launch a series of hit and fade attacks on Gammulan forces, until they retreat from Lennen. The close of the Battle of Longreach-424, after approximately five days, sees the loss of 38 GALCOM and EarthCOM allied capital ships and around 65 Gammulan capital ships. The GALCOM and Terran forces begin construction of a more heavily fortified starstation in orbit around Lennen, to house Area Command, and it is christened on it's completion as Starstation Victory. April 3012 : The 28th Space Marine Battalion (Recon) begin a six month long assay of the Lennen region using old long-range probe data and making extremely long range hyperjumps to try and locate strategically viable footholds or resources out of range of Gammulan scanners. Over this time, fourteen ships from the battalion are damaged or destroyed due to accidents which occur as a result of making such long hyperjumps without reliable coordinates. When the assay project is complete, nearly twenty strategically viable positions outside of Gammulan scanner range have been discovered, and all members of the 28th Space Marine Battalion are awarded Commander's Shields. June 3012 : Luis Ontego, a 35 year old Terran GACOM scientist, develops the Area Defense Shield, a type of shield generator able to project stable, large scale 360 degree defensive fields. This new technology is earmarked for inclusion into the new GALCOM battlecruiser under development to assist in the war effort, code named Starion. September 3013 : The turning point of the war for the Terrans occurs when they launch the final strike of a covert operation running in the Ahavre Belt, an asteroid belt several thousand light years out of populated space in the Polaris-2 region. A large scale manufacturing facility and a major Gammulan Fleet preparing to attack Sol, also deep in uncharted space in Polaris-2, is discovered and destroyed with the use of two powerful nuclear devices mounted on ships flown by pilots operating out of a GALCOM military ship. February 3014 : With the tide of the war beginning to turn in Terran favour, and Terran resources running desperately low, the Starion project is put on hold indefinitely. July 3014 : In a decisive strike against Gammulan forces, a large GALCOM / EarthCOM fleet pushes through the remaining Gammulan defenses in Polaris-2 to strike directly at the Gammulan starbase and war command in Polaris-1. At the same time, a small group of ISS and Wraith covert marines penetrate Procyon space to plant a tactical nuclear device on the secondary command facility in orbit around Actis IV. With the back of the Gammulan command broken in these two places, the Gammulans begin a steady withdrawal through the Credian quadrant. August 3014 : GALCOM and UFN diplomats begin negotiations with Credian and Zelon forces to try and close the space lanes to future Gammulan forces. These negotiations are for the most part unsuccessful, although the Zelons agree to limit Gammulan military fleet movement through their territory, as well as to impose trade sanctions on the Gammulans in retaliation for the war. September 3014 : With the war officially over, Terran forces turn inward to try and assess the damage caused. The Terran economy is crippled, and GALCOM funding and resources have been stretched to their limits after the protracted conflict. The UFN votes unanimously to approve a bill put forward by Senator Galhamriman to channel military spending into research and exploration to try and discover resources to boost the dangerously flagging Terran economy. Some of this I agree with, some I do not. DeSylva went on to say that Galcom would break a treaty with one of its allies  something I opposed vehemently. IMO Galcom would not willingly break a treaty with an allie. But I digress. My main and only area of concern is with the first quote and how it pertains to the destruction of Wraith-HQ in Rinaal and its eventual relocation to Lyrius. Which is only four days out of one month in 3008. Hope that this makes sense. I end my supermini-dissertation with this post TTFN [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 03-22-2000).]

  9. [rp] 1330, March 15, 3008 Hadar-9, Cyrian Mor-DÔÇÖr watched as the prey entered hyper-space and escaped certain destruction. Yet another frustrating factor to entertain the Warriors with as they stood done from battle stations. There were not many places to hide within the system so Mor-DÔÇÖr and the rest of the Gammulan Fleet commanders were not much worried. One for fish in the pond and one more fish to fry. 1345, March 15, 3008 Gammulan Empire War Council Chamber Undetermined Location in the Gammulan Quadrant An emergency session of the War Council of the Gammulan Empire was summoned by Jarius, its current leader. Status report of Phase II of the plan had been received and had disappointed Jarius. For the most part, Phase II was a success with one notable exception. The Target had not been eliminated. Though not a major component of the plan, the Head of the Dragon had not been severed and could make the completion of the plan more difficult than need be. Exact details of the failed assassination attempt of the Shogun had not yet arrived. Enough data was available that required the War CouncilÔÇÖs notice and approval before Phase III could be implemented. The debate was short lived as several dissenting voices were violently eliminated to stop the spread of contamination of their dissent. Jarius was pleased with the CouncilÔÇÖs resolution to continue with the plan despite the minor setback in Phase II. The glow in JariusÔÇÖ red eyes brightened as he gave the order to initiate Phase III operations to the waiting Orders in Hadar-9 and other elements scattered throughout the Credian Quadrant. 1355, March 15, 3008 Octura-6, Omega Centauri The frantic activity bore fruit on one of three warships adrift in space. The constant emissions of its SOS beacon had been silenced. Unfortunately for good and would not be able to function until the warship underwent a major refit at a space station. Which was good and bad news to the crew of the disable warship. Good because there was no reason for another space vessel to investigate the disabled warship unless in a salvage attempt. Bad news because there would be no other space vessels, friendly or otherwise, to render assistance to the stricken warship. The commander of the disable warship laid out the ultimate bluff, he only hoped that no one would come a calling him on it anytime soon. 1400, March 15, 3008 Chanis-,1 Xyon Chanis-2, Xyon 4th Moon, Rinaal, Cyrian Hadar-9, Cyrian Zelena, Lanix V Lydan, Krynon Moon-2, Tyrus-2, Krynon Gammulan Warships decloaked though out the Credian Quadrant in orbit around various moons and planets. Targets were plotted on the surface of these planetary bodies and laid into the memory of the warship weapon systems. Then they were prioritized and the maelstroms commenced. The warships launched OTS ordinance by the dozen on each target. Results of the OTS launches were excellent, predictable, and devastating to the targets. All targets were eliminated within 10 minutes of acquisition. Not everything on the planetary surfaces were destroyed. Most were not even of interest to the Warships of the Empire. The only surface targets that were destroyed were those that had some type of Terran facility within it. Whether it was a trading post, research center, colony, or military base, it did not matter. If it was Terran then it was destroyed within the cleansing fire of an expanding mushroom shaped cloud. 1400, March 15, 3008 Hadar-9, Cyrian The orders had come at last. The leash around the Horde was released. Free at last the Orders of the Gammulan Fleet began to engage the cowardly Wraiths that had eluded them over the past hours. One by one they were found and obliterated. By the score the warships left Hadar-9 and entered Tyrus-2, chasing the fleeing Wraiths as they tried to escape. Mor-DÔÇÖr and the Van were at the front of the assault. Already five Wraith battlecruisers had fallen to the Van. More were within reach, more would fall. The Bloodlust that Mor-DÔÇÖr and the rest of the Gammulan Warriors had fought so long to withhold was unleashed in all its fury at the enemy before him. He and the rest of the Gammulan Horde had no mercy as they fell upon the Wraith and found the prey that had eluded them just a short time ago. 1400, March 15, 3008 Rinaal, Cyrian From two different jump points the Gammulan Warships entered the Rinaal system and sought their prey. From Hadar-9, 24 warships arrived and were being cut-up by the Wraiths waiting in ambush as they sat helplessly when they exited the jump point. Thirty-two Warships entered from the lee at the Pravis jump point. They found the elusive and cowardly Wraiths that were destroying their brethren as they exited the Hadar-9 jump point. One the hyper-drives were recharged they too entered the fray near the jump point and tilted the battle towards them as they fell upon the backside of a cowardly foe. Missiles were launched and main guns and turrets were ablaze. 1400, 15 March, 3008 Antis, Trennis Forty-four Gammulan Warships decloaked in orbit near the planet. They were searching for a target that Intelligence said was there. A very big target that would be in orbit around the planet that even a terran couldnÔÇÖt miss noticing or locating. There was nothing. Throughout the system there was debris but not a single sign of the big target. Not wanting to risk losing his head, the leader of the Gammulan warships ordered them to split up and search the system, particle by particle if necessary to find the big target. Unknown to the Gammulan leader, his and the warriors with him efforts would prove to be an act of futility. They would never find the big target they were looking for. At least not in this life time. [/rp] Ben ÔÇô I suggest that ye vacate Rinaal. Try the F08 in Capella. If ye be quick, ye just might make it Made minor corrections, grammar, spelling. Probably still missed some of them. Does anyone see the flaw in the current tactical situation? Exploitation of this flaw is possible if caught in time [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 03-22-2000).]

  11. My four-bits minus two, aka sticking me nose in where it dont belong 1 - Has the seven day rule been through out for major Fleet reorganization? 2 - There are enough Fleet Commanders IMO and another is not needed. 3 - Intell ops (overt and covert) overlap so much it be pathetic at times. A good example of this are those agencies within the US govt that do basically the same thing. All the services have G2, and then there is the DIA; four intel branches within the DoD itself. Now look at the rest of the govt. NSA, CIA, FBI, DEA, ATF, INS, just to name a few all basically do the same thing gather intel data within their AOR. Bottom Line: To create a sub-fleet within ISS, with a Fleet Commander at its head is not necessary and is overkill IMO. If ISS neads such an agency then create a wing and have the wing lead by one of the Commanders assigned to it. The Wing Commander would still be controled and report directly to the ISS Fleet Commander. A Fleet Commander (using the game as a example) has the authority to call upon the services of any terran/military assests throughout the BC universe. This is to much authority to be given to what is only a Covert Operations Wing. Questions, comments, and snide remarks are welcomed TTFN ------------------ Commander Gallion GCV Graf Spee *1st Squadron, *Corsair Wing Stationed, *Starbase Cerberus "Run Silent, Run Deep" ICQ# 29486270, EST (GMT-5) =Wraith Fleet= Second in Command, Wraith Fleet Bushi of the Dragon Council [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 03-21-2000).]
  12. [rp] 1109, March 15, 3008 Hadar-9, Cyrian Phase II of the plan neared completion. The Gammulan Orders were becoming restless. They could see their enemy loitering about the jump point to Tyrus-2. Analysis of probe data indicated that this was all a ruse. The cowardly Wraiths would not stand and fight in the next system, it would be the one after that. There the Gammulan Warrior Bloodlust would be sated somewhat but not completely. Mor-DÔÇÖr smiled and the red of his eyes brightened some as he thought about the upcoming fest. 1217, March 15, 3008 Octura-6, Omega Centauri Ten warships engage in a dance to the death. Missiles from the warships and their fighter craft filled the black void of space with fire and light. Fire from their launch and light from the impact on target. Most of the many that were launched arrived at their appointed destination, through the ever-spewing array of defending PTA and laser fire, to light the darkness of the black void in the explosive brilliance of their detonation. Surviving fighters tried to return to their wombs as the tango drew to a close, not all made. None of the ten that began the dance survived intact. Seven dancers light the galactic backdrop with the light of a reactor reaching critical and exploding. Three dancers were emitting their beacons that would summon new dance partners. Activity in one warship increased at a frantic pace to both silence the beacon of death and to return to the dance floor before any more partners arrived to ask for a dance. 1331, March 15, 3008 Pluto, Sol Eight warships entered the space near Pluto from the jump point that led to Centris, Alpha Centauri. Four of the warships peeled from the rest and headed for the jump point that led to Jupiter. The remaining four warships targeted one of the battlecruisers in orbit around Pluto and near the scientific space station. Once the Target was located the four warships engaged their hyperdrives and jumped towards the space station. Four warships entered the Jupiter jump point and left the Pluto region just as four other warships exited hyperspace near Pluto. These four warships, two Stormcariers and two Constellation Class Battlecruisers, were a motley bunch. The IFF of the first two warships emitted Terran/Mercenary transponder codes whilst the IFF of the remaining two warships emitted Zelon/Assassin transponders codes. The four warships changed their course towards a battlecruiser in the vicinity at full speed. Fighter craft were launched from the four warships and headed for the same Target as the four warships. Response from the Target and the vessels near it were slow to respond to this unforseen threat as they too launched their covey of fighters. Missiles were launched when in range at the Target and those warships in the near. Fighter craft of both forces were destroyed or disabled. One of the attacking Assassin battlecruisers was destroyed and one attacking Stormcarrier was a near the SOS beacon activation mark. That was enough for the remaining two attacking warships as they broke off their attack and hypered out of the fray towards once they came. The Target did not escape the attack unblemished. A warship near the Target was destroyed and the Target was heavily damaged. The Target warship is high on one particular bounty sheet, as a matter of fact there is only one Galcom vessel higher on this list than the Target, the GCV-Shogun, and the Gammulans didnÔÇÖt have a clue were it was. 1345, March 15, 3008 Jupiter, Sol Four warships entered through the Pluto jump point and waited. These four warships, two Stormcariers and two Galactan Class Battlecruisers, were a motley group too. The IFF of the first two warships emitted Terran/Mercenary transponder codes whilst the IFF of the remaining two warships emitted Zelon/Assassin transponders codes. They were waiting for a Target of sorts to arrive. They had no knowledge as to the failed attack in Pluto. 1315, March 15, 3008 Hadar-9, Cyrian The Rinaal jump point was active once again as something came through the jump gate. The Gammulan warships waiting near the JP could not get anything of their sensors for them to engage. The special probes were working overtime and were coming close to getting a firing solution on what ever it was that came through the jump point. This time Mor-DÔÇÖr wouldnÔÇÖt hold his warriors or any of the Gammulan warriors back. Phase III was set to begin any minute now and tension had to be drained from the frustrated warriors of the Empire. As Mor-DÔÇÖr contemplated this, the probes had obtained a firing solution on the unknown threat that entered the system from Rinaal. The orders were given and the warships were let lose on the prey. [/rp] Think fast Ben ÔÇô Gams have a target lock! To the rest ÔÇô careful what ye post for ye will sow what is posted. Become aware of the tactical situation. There are 400-500 Gam warships in the Hadar-9 system. 200-300 Gam warships are scattered about the Gam Quad. Some Fluxfields have a 50-50 chance of landing ye into a black hole so be very, very careful The Target is the GCV Shogun and its Commanding Officer. The Shogun was attacked before departing Pluto and sustained heavy damage and some casualties though none specified. Phase II is complete. Adjusted Time back some for Pluto escapade. My next post will get the ball rolling in Hadar-9. [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 03-21-2000).]
  13. Ok, since this is about BCM here comes the big DQ: Where ye gonna park the SS at Tac? Credian Quad is packed with all kinds of SSs already. Gam Quad be to far forward. Syrion Quad be off the beaten trail. That would leave the Terran Quad IMO. Sirius/Lennon or Sirius/Lyrius. Locate Wraith SS in either system and that would forward deploy Fleet HQ from G-Hq, providing the speedbump effect fer any hostiles trying to get to Sol. Either that or park the SS around one of the planets in Sol system that don't have a SS around it already - say Mercury
  14. [rp] 0545, March 15, 3008 Hadar-9, Cyrian The situation was unexceptable to Mor-DÔÇÖr. Nothing has been heard from any of the warships sent after the lone Galcom BC that had teased the bloodlust of the Gammulan Warrior. Though he has heard that a small fleet will be sent to the Rinaal system to investigate what is or was going on in that system. A probe entered the system from Rinaal earlier. Several Gammulan fighter pilots were able to satisfy their appetite for destruction somewhat chasing down and then eliminating its presence from the system. Several other probes that were deployed by the Gammulans begin to activate and send out alerts to the warships monitoring them. These probes are the among if not the best available within the Empire. Given enough time, they could even detect the presence of a cloaked ship. The Rinaal jump point flashed with activity once again. What ever came in system is no longer within, thought the Vanguard leader, lucky for it too ÔÇô target lock solutions were almost in and he was just about to order a blind fire. 0559, March 15, 3008 Rinaal, Cyrian A conference request had been received from Dragon central and Gallion declined to participate, rather he could not damage to the Graf SpeeÔÇÖs communication systems prevented advance communication services. Instead he forwarded what he knew of the tactical situation within the Gammulan and Credian quadrants. The Swiftsure returned from its foray into Hadar-9 and sent the gathered data towards destination(s) unknown to most but well known to the old Corsair. Some of the communication system modifications done to the Graf Spee were still operational, which is a miracle in of itself, and managed to intercept the data being transmitted from the Swiftsure. Several minutes later the data had been deciphered and analyzed. Gallion quickly perused the data and made his decision and yet another change of his modis-operendi. ÔÇ£Ben, change 2000,ÔÇØ Gallion said to Commander Somerset once a commlink had been established. ÔÇ£What ÔǪ,ÔÇØ was the cut-off reply from Somerset. ÔÇ£I am detaching and reassigning eight of the battlecruisers under my command to you. You will carry out your current assignment, harass the Gams when able, and get word to our esteemed leader that something came up that I need to look into. I will be out of contact for most of this sojourn. The Gams fell for this trick once and I donna think that they will fall for it again. Also expect some type of Gam recon force to investigate what we did here. Any questions Ben?ÔÇØ Commander Somerset had barely begun to formulate his response when Gallion continued on his tirade. ÔÇ£Good. The only other thing that I will add is this,ÔÇØ Gallion became somewhat tense and sullen as he continued, ÔÇ£watch your six Ben. As ye know the Gams arenÔÇÖt pussy-footinÔÇÖ around this time. I have a bad feeling about this. Good luck and ÔÇÿtill we meet again, Gallion OUT!ÔÇØ With all said and done, Gallion abruptly terminated the commlink and signaled the unlucky battlecruiser commander to form up on the Graf Spee. A bakerÔÇÖs dozen of battlecruisers detected the departure of those two warships moments later. Somerset had no idea where the crazy Corsair was going but he did note one thing; both BCs exited the Rinaal system via the Pravis JP. [/rp] Ye be on ye own now Ben [This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 03-20-2000).]

  20. [rp] 0410, March 15, 3008 Hadar-9, Cyrian Mor-DÔÇÖr with the Gammulan Van stood at the ready 2000km from the Hadar-9/Rinaal jump point as Phase II of the plan neared completion. Three orders of the Gammulan Fleet orbited Hadar-9, a safe distance from the Mandorian Star Station, Dabis and the defending warships of Wraith and Mandorian Fleets. The Warriors of the Gammulan Empire were at the ready waiting for the order to attack and release the pent up aggression upon those that dared to oppose the will of the Empire. Unknown to the Gammulans, the next line in the sand would be drawn at the Kandorian system of Lydon. The Wraith Fleet Commander was taking a gamble and seriously raising the stakes by doing this. He was hoping to draw the Kandorains into the fray by making a stand in Lydon and not Tyrus-2. A lone and battered battlecruiser emitting the Galcom IFF code entered the system from the Rinaal jump point which caused quite a stir amongst the Gammulan warships milling about in proximity of the jump point. Without warning, the battered battlecruiser launched a surprise attack against three Stormcarriers and their escorts. Pandemonium swept through Gammulan warships in the area of the surprise attack. Already several SOS beacons were ping away from the StormcarriersÔÇÖ escorts. One Stormcarrier was dead in its tracks, anotherÔÇÖs shields were down, and the third was just coming about to face this unknown attacker. Not all was as it seemed to the Gammulan Vanguard leader as he watched the ensuing small patch of chaos with intense interest unfold within his tactical display. Mor-DÔÇÖr sensed something vaguely familiar in the ruckus as he magnified his POV to its fullest on the attacking Galcom vessel. The IFF transponder was intermittent and failed to fully identify the battered battlecruiser as standard Galcom IFF transponders normally operated. Keeping a target tracking lock the evasive craft was difficult too. Full realisation hit the Vanguard leader when he was able to see the distinctive white skull and crossed swords painted upon the bow of evasive battlecruiserÔÇÖs fore shell. Mor-DÔÇÖr sent a fleet-wide alert over the comm-waves, the number one enemy of the Empire was in their midst, and ordered the Vanguard to engage the battered battlecruiser. The situation on the battered Galcom battlecruiser was becoming more perilous by the nano-second once the initial shock of the surprise attack on the milling Gammulan Warships had worn off. Although no Gammulan warships were destroyed during the battered battlecruiserÔÇÖs attack, the attack did wreck havoc and mayhem within the Gammulan ranks. Two Stormcarriers and several cruiser escort vessels were completely disabled and their SOS beacons were a singing. The commander of the battlecruiser laid in an escape course to the Rinaal jump point once he saw the Gammulan Vanguard begin to engage his vessel. The Gammulans had taken the bait and the trap was set when the battered battlecruiser made good its escape through the jump point. Fifteen Gammulan warships were hot on the tail of the fleeing Galcom warship. What the pursuing Gammulan Warships didnÔÇÖt know about what awaited their arrival on the other side of the jump point was a gauntlet of primed and ready Galcom Battlecruisers. The fifteen Gammulan Warships didnÔÇÖt have a snowballÔÇÖs chance when they reached the other side of the jump point in Rinaal. One-by-one they each made the fatal error, all for the glory of the Gammulan Empire. 21. Tac - probes monitoring a system (whether ye be in it or not) report 85%-90% of what ye be wishing fer. Peruse ye CommLog now then. When things get hot and heavy their be a thing called Information overload that can lead to confusion rather that clarification. F-4 Phantom pilots experienced this in combat in SE Asia during late '60s early '70s.
  22. hehehe...Funny that ye should be mentioning this. There's a group doing just this though they not be called pirates Though their ships haven't been modified to disable the targets, that group does manage to exhibit the same tactics described herein. TTFN ------------------ Commander Gallion GCV Graf Spee *1st Squadron, *Corsair Wing Stationed, *Starbase Cerberus "Run Silent, Run Deep" ICQ# 29486270, GMT+3 =Wraith Fleet= Second in Command, Wraith Fleet Bushi of the Dragon Council
  23. WasnÔÇÖt expecting that Ben. Not to worry though and welcome back into our motley I donÔÇÖt even know what I have up my sleeve Tac ÔÇô looks like ye did more than ye thought ye did Notice the date change ÔÇô Day 2 has begun. [rp] 0239, March 15, 3008 Hadar-9, Cyrian Fighting between the Gammulans and the Wraith/Mandorian defenders had been sporadic at best. Neither side took the offensive although the Gammulan Invasion Fleet had the upper-hand in the system. It looked like a terran Mexican stand-off to a bystander. The Wraiths and Mandorians would initiate a battle in one area, the Gams would respond to the attacking warships, and then the attackers would fade away. The Gams wouldnÔÇÖt pursue the Wraiths. It would seem that they had learn the error of their ways since the Rinaal battle. Once on a while a Gammulan warship commander would get frustrated with the delay in battle and break ranks from the Gammulan FleetÔÇÖs lines attacking either the Wraith or Mandorian warships. Which only proved the stupidity of the Gammulan commander as his warship was destroyed. Mor-DÔÇÖr too was frustrated with the battle delays and was eager to engage in battle. Today was a good day to die, he thought to himself. Several times he had to talk various commanders of the Vanguard out of doing something rash, something foolish, something that would jeopardise the EmpireÔÇÖs entire stratagem. The Gammulan War Council had initiated Phase II of their plan several hours ago. Key commanders within the Gammulan Fleet, Mor-DÔÇÖr was one of them, knew that it would take time for Phase II to be completed. Then and only when Phase II was complete would Phase III and the rest of the plan be unleashed. There would be no stopping the Empire then. There was nothing between the Fleet and Sol, nothing but the cowardly Wraiths. Wraith Fleet was not sitting idle either. They too were taking advantage that this lull in battle afforded then. Ships of the Wraith Fleet were being repaired at the Mandorian Star Station Dabis. Others were taking on supplies and ferrying them to the various Wraith warships in system. Other ships began to slip out of Hadar-9 towards Tyris-2 and beyond. The Mandorian Military agreed with Wraith Fleet Commander Londono, Hadar-9 was not the place to make a last stand. He invited the Mandorains to join Wraith. Some Mandorains did whilst others did not. Those that did, did so with the Mandorian MilitaryÔÇÖs blessings. Wraith Fleet was doing its job, delay the Gas for as long as they could. Which Wraith Fleet would do, one system at a time. Fleet Commander Londono was astounded at the GammulanÔÇÖs halt in the offensive. He couldnÔÇÖt figure out what the Gams were up to though. His Fleet strength was down to a little above 50% of its original strength. All wings had reported in with the exception of one, at which he wasnÔÇÖt the least bit surprised at either. The commander of that wayward wing had been a righteous pain in his arse since day one. Plus he hadnÔÇÖt heard from any of the fifteen battlecruisers or the Wing that he had detached in Rinaal either and they were only one jump point away from Hadar-9! Then came a single nanosecond micro-burst transmission from somewhere in the Gamma Quadrant. The transmission said next to naught and infuriated the Wraith Fleet Commander the more he thought about it. Corsair operational, news at eleven, was all the transmission contained. FC Londono knew that he would have that commanderÔÇÖs hide when this was over, he just knew it. Each time he thought about it, the same thoughts would come into the FCÔÇÖs head and each time he would laugh. Fleet Commander Londono was laughing at himself because each time he thought about his rogue Wing Commander, he didnÔÇÖt even think about whether or not the wayward Wing Commander would survive this ordeal, he just knew that the Corsair would. 0157, March 15, 3008 Rinaal, Cyrian A lone battered battlecruiser entered the Rinaal system via the Pravis jump-point and waited. Cruising from the jump-point through the system on the inertia built up prior to jumping in-system. Five battlecruisers from the tail of a comet joined up with the lone battlecruiser. The six battlecruisers were later joined by two more battlecruisers that hyper-jumped from a nearby meteoroid that plagued the system. Two other battlecruisers joined the eight from other parts in system. The flotsam in the Rinaal system was thick and the battered battlecruiser launched a shuttle craft to sweep the flotsam for anything useful. Greetings and orders were exchanged between the nine battlecruisers and the lone damaged one. Stories of battles, some embellished but most truthful were also exchanged. From the nine BCs, the lone BC was brought up to date on the course of the battle and several critical spare parts were obtained. The nine BCs took up position around the battered BC as its shuttle craft completed the sweep of the flotsam ÔÇô it was a good haul. The shuttleÔÇÖs cargo bay was full of many useful pieces of equipment, parts, and material. Unexpectedly the ten battlecruisers were joined another wing of battlecruisers, which surprised the old commander of the battered battlecruiser. He hated surprises. The communications station of the battered battlecruiser chattered to life as the commander of the Wing of new arrivals chimed in. ÔÇ£Took your sweet ass time Commander Gallion!ÔÇØ said the Commander of the GCV Swiftsure. ÔÇ£And hello to you too Ben. I had some difficulty with the natives,ÔÇØ was the battered battlecruiser commanderÔÇÖs reply. ÔÇ£I see that you had a little problem of yer own on yon star station. I told ye to get an exterminator to take care of that rodent problem ye had awhile back. Ye didnÔÇÖt have to go that far...or to such extremes,ÔÇØ Gallion said pointing towards the empty shell that had once been Wraith-HQ. Gallion couldnÔÇÖt help himself and barely suppressed the chuckle that wanted to escape from his throat. He and Ben Somerset have had their differences but Gallion respected the S.I.N. Wing Commander. ÔÇ£How is the rest of the fleet doing?ÔÇØ Gallion asked seriously to change the subject. ÔÇ£Best that can be expected and could be worse. Where are the rest of your Wi...,ÔÇØ said Somerset before he was cutoff. ÔÇ£I am what is left of Corsair Wing Ben,ÔÇØ the old man said sternly. Commander Somerset studied the vid display and didnÔÇÖt like what he saw. He had heard stories about Gallion. Most were true but some didnÔÇÖt pan out. The man he saw was known as a loner, a rogue, and a maverick within both Wraith Fleet and Galcom command circles. The man was battered, like his ship, but not beaten. ÔÇ£What are your plans Commander,ÔÇØ Ben asked. ÔÇ£My plans?ÔÇØ Gallion said as a question then continued in confidence, ÔÇ£My plans Commander Somerset are to fix the Graf Spee and then do what Corsairs do best. Ye and yers are invited to join in the fun if ye like.ÔÇØ A wicked grin appeared on the face of Gallion. A grin that Somerset had rarely seen but knew what it could bring. ÔÇ£By the way,ÔÇØ Gallion said stopping whatever response the S.I.N. Wing Commander was going to make, ÔÇ£ye wouldnÔÇÖt happ'n to have any bubblegum now would ye?ÔÇØ The audacity of both the situation and GallionÔÇÖs question was more than the by-the-book Commander Somerset could handle as he doubled over in laughter. Bubblegum, Ben thought to himself in between fits of laughter, the Gams are invading, his command is almost completely wiped out, and Gallion wants to know whether or not he had any bubblegum. What Ben Somerset didnÔÇÖt see was the wicked grin that changed into a sincere smile as Gallion too began to chuckle at the lunacy of his question. Sooner than Gallion had previously thought, the Corsairs and the S.I.N.ers would show the Gams the error of there ways.
