Welcome to Prime cadet, glad to have you on board. Now remember to mind your P's and Q's, not only is the Supreme Commander the maker of this game but he is also Supreme Commander of Prime Fleet.
  2. Also make sure that when converting music to MP3's that you use a CBR (constant bit rate) because if I recall correctly when I used VBR (variable bit rate) it did not work.
  3. Congrats Emmett!!! That's great news, glad everyone is well!
  4. That's because you have so much spare time on your hands. Just took a look at your camera, love the fact that you can change lenses, 4.0 megapixel is going to give you great shots. I think you made the right choice I'm not a big Olympus fan. Now break that badboy out of its box!
  5. Didn't read it don't have to, I have the game. The possibilities in this game are endless, and look how far this series has come and yet to go. If I did not like this game it would have been shelved already. You want reviews, then just read the comments from those that post to this forum, their written by people that actually play the game.
  6. I have an older Fuji MX600 Zoom 1.5 Mega Pixel and have found at the highest resolution it will give me pictures close to my Canon AE-1 Program 35mm. Just a suggestion but at the highest resolution you will always get better pictures since you can do so much more with the photos. 640x480 are OK but if you try to enlarge them the will become grainy. Your better off getting a bigger card than taking the photos at the lower resolutions. Prices of cards have come down quite a bit, so keep your eye out for a good sale and pick one up. At 1024x768 you can store approximately 40 pictures on a 32mb card. I use an online service to print my pictures, it was the lowest I found on the net. Like most companies they give you free storage for your photos. They do a good job on 4" & 5" prints but I had problems with some 8x10's, but they did reprint them twice so I guess I can't complain. If your interested check them out here sign up is free and you get 30 prints for free when you do sign up. My next camera is going to be a digital video camera with megapixel still images. This way I only have to carry one camera instead of two. Besides with the video editing software available you can capture any frame of the video as a still, no more waiting for that perfect shot, just look for it frame by frame. Currently I'm transferring all of my analog video to SVCD that way I can watch it on my DVD player and not worry about tape degradation. One other thing, if you plan to work on any of your photos, first save them in tiff format. Make the corrections you want keep saving in tiff format until all changes have been made. You can then save it as a jpeg. I read that each time you make changes and save in jpeg the photo is slightly compromised whereas, tiff files are not affected. Enjoy your new camera and don't forget to backup your photos to disk for safe keeping.
  7. Thanks Gudihl for the heads up, I just recently refilled out the registration form since I was not able to access my public profile. My ID changed from 189 to 1321, I have made the necessary changes. I will update my sig later tonight using the rest of yours as my format.
  8. Thank you Commander Williams, I have completed filling out the necessary forms and I'm ready to go. I don't feel it is necessary to go through the Academy, besides I have played the GBS files that Papi has created in the past. Currently I have limited time online but that will change once I complete some projects that I am working on, I should be up to speed shortly. Thanks for the warm welcome, Papi.
  9. Commanders, After quite a bit of time sitting on the side lines I have decided that I would like to join Prime Fleet. Being a rookie to the world of online games I felt it was time to get my feet wet. I will await instructions from you regarding my approval and subsequent assignment. Over and Out Gordon
  10. Delmrr, just a shot in the dark but do you have a virus protection program running in the background when you are trying to patch up? If so try installing again with the virus protection program shut down. I have had problems in the past with patches (although not with BCMG) not loading properly due to my virus protection program running in the background. Other than that I'm stumped since I had no problem patching BCMG up to the current version.
  11. I say hooray for noobs for without them some of us would still be considered "Noobs" For the most part I have found some of their comments quite interesting while others quite insane - Keep up the good work noobs for some day you will have the pleasure of calling someone else a noob!
  12. Hi Fractux, Noticed that you are using the 40.71 drivers, there are some known issues with these drivers, nothing to do with the game. Try switching back to the 40.41 drivers and see if this resolves the problem. For further information read this, as a matter of fact Advil has posted that the 42.01 beta drivers are working for him, I'm not too keen on using beta drivers but it's another option if you do not want to drop back to the 40.41's.
  13. T-WOPR Although your report was quite vague I was able to reproduce this issue and have given SC the necessary steps to reproduce it. In the future please try to be more specific in the steps necessary to get the results you saw. Here is the steps I provided SC quote: TO REPRODUCE SNG, use Galcom/MKIII as a launch point/ship (it should not matter which station/ship that you use but I figured it best to keep it simple) after launch make sure A/P is off and go to Navitron Computer and select any jump point (I used Mars) Now select Earth's Moon in your NID computer from bridgeview so it is targeted in the CVD Hit "Shift 9" You will be asked if you would like to make planetfall - answer Yes Your ship will now enter Hyperdrive and you will head to the jumpgate you previously selected via your Navitron Computer. Once you exit the Hyperjump your CC will immediately display the planetfall entry scene and zip very quickly across the region and establish entry onto the Moon, which as you know is quite a distance away from the Mars jumpgate. This is the type of information that is required to make it clear how you found this issue. This is a bug, rest assured that SC will now be able to fix it. In the future if you like you can send me via a PM on any issues that you may find and I will do my best to try to confirm it, this way none of us send SC on a wild goose chase or have him guessing how to reproduce it.
  14. Bandus, Mike113 is correct, this was brought up before Hunger Factor There is lots of helpful information on this forum just use the search function, you'll be suprised at all the info you will find.
  15. That's great news!...um...Mrs.Wolferz...keep us posted. Give him a big from all of us on this forum.
  16. quote: Something is causing the ships to not RTB (cruiser). They only get so close and then stop. Not happening here, your statement is vague but I tried several test and was not able to reproduce. Here's what I tried: Used both Super Cruiser - Warmonger and Heavy Cruiser - Star Cruiser for my test. Launch base - Galcom From Space: Launched Shuttle and ordered it to Fly To a jumpgate (which it did) and then RTB - Worked as designed. Launched Shuttle and ordered it to Jump At a gate (which it did)and then RTB - Worked as designed. Launched Shuttle and had it immediately RTB - Worked as designed. On Planet (Earth) Deployed Drone/RTB yes shuttle did slide on the ground for a bit but it then lifted off and RTB - Worked as designed. This was known by the SC and is listed in the VCF quote:Implemented landing VTOL dynamics (from BCG code) for craft deploy/evac ops - making it easier for NPCs to carry out ops The only things I know that will prevent you from docking are No power to Launch Control and damage to the launch bays. You did check these right? [ 11-08-2002, 10:15 PM: Message edited by: Gordon ]
  17. SC, I had the same problem regarding the crew pull down menus using the 40.72 drivers. I switched back to the 40.41 drivers and at least for me the issue is gone.
  18. Glad to see you and yours are OK, Papi. There are a lot of sick people in this world, taking your own life because you are unhappy is tragic enough but to take innocent people with you...it just does not make any sense.
  19. Looks like they are watching a little too much Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
  20. Check out this video it's pretty funny BF1942
  21. Brutus, this is from the VCF quote:A phenomemon at a location on Sygan (dubbed The Sygan Triangle) causes units to sometimes disappear On some planets with very low altitude values, if a unit is destroyed and is being rebuilt, it may be relocated to the seabed instead of on the surface.
  22. I am in contact with Fox_Trot and will send him a scanned copy of the Keyboard Command sheet.
