Yeah, here's to stupid people asking stupid questions! Really, sorry about all those stupid questions I've been asking.
  2. That brings me to a question... Is GCO just going to have a flat cost, or is it going have a monthly rate, too? (Though from what salisbury said, and my prediction, I think it will have a monthly rate, but I want to be sure.)

SC, thanks for continuing to update the VCF for it's avid readers like myself. (Though I seem to have missed the hit detection bit). About the packaging, I understand it, but I expected a jewel case. (BC2.0 had one) No biggy, though.
  5. Oh, God, I didn't even think about the gas prices! Lucky for me, I'm not allowed to drive on campus yet, and by the time I am, things should have normalized.
  6. Sorry about what I said earlier. I was upset and angry. I apologize if anyone was offended.
  7. I don't know what to say. Some wierd new bug, perhaps?
  8. Oh, and NUKE THEM!!! NUKE THEM ALL TO HELL!!!
  9. I heard about it in my Economics lecture, and all I can say is OH MY GOD!!! College Park is only 10-15 minutes from DC, so I don't know what's going to happen here...
  10. Actually, the only thing missing is hit detection, but I can live without it. And who knows, maybe someone will mod it in.
  11. I've played BC 2.0x for quite some time, but I've never been in "null space". What happens once you end up in null space? And how do you get out?
  12. I agree with you. It's quite unique having direct contact with the main man behind the game. No other company that I know of does that!
  13. Wait, doesn't SC live in Florida?
  14. What's the bug? Trying to beam up?
  15. Ugh, not even a whole percent yet. Oh well, as soon as they figure out how good it is they'll all come back, begging for forgiveness!
  16. I've been wondering how much hit detection is going to be in BCM. I've heard that it can detect head shots, but doest it differentiate between arm shots, torso shots, and leg shots? And if so, do such injuries have specific detremental effects to the character (e.g. arm shots reduce accuracy, leg shots reduce speed and dexterity, torso shots reduce FF recovery)?
  17. Come to think of it, I don't even know why I beamed down to the planet in the first place. I guess I just wanted to see my marines and go on a little pointless patrol. By the way, I was wondering what would happen if I tried to beam into an ocean... I'd probably drown, unless I could beam back up.
  18. I also seem to be having a problem. Although the game starts properly, it seems like it's crashing a lot. Is everyone having this problem, or is it just me?
  19. OK, that seems to explain why I didn't find any marines, but is there really a way to access TacOps from first person so I can beam back?
  20. Would it be possible using the GBSII, to create an ACM that's dynamic: meaning that the next mission or TOD depends on the results of the previos one?
  21. No, I don't think the VCF would just flat out lie like that. (See above quote) You're both quite right about the GBS and people making third-party missions and TODs for it. I was just trying to ascertain the extent of quote: several single and multi player BCM campaigns And how exactly are quote: relevant careers defined?
  22. Exactly how many and of what type of ACM scenarios can I expect in BCM? The VCF says: quote: There will be several single and multi player BCM campaigns in the final release product for all the relevant careers. Exactly how many is that? And will there be more available for download post-release?
  23. Ok, here's the situation. I was playing the first scenario of Episode 2 when I decided to do a little first-person exploring on the planet's surface. So I sent myself, along with a few marines to the transporter room. I then made sure that it was working and had power. I went into TacOps and had myself and the marines beamed down to an uninhapited area of the planet. After doing so, I went into first person. However, upon looking around, I noticed that the marines were nowhere to be found. I then wanted to go back into TacOps (or PerScan) to find out where they were. I couldn't find a way to access TacOps form first-person. I then wanted to beam back aboard my BC, but I needed TacOps to do that, too. Resigned to my unescorted exile on the planet, I decided to explore a little bit. There were hills and elevation changes, but nothing too interesting. (I must have chosen the beam-in location too well) I then wanted to quit to try something else, but the realized that I couldn't even do that! I eventually ended up pushing the reset button on my computer. Is this a known problem with the demo, or am I just being stupid? P.S. Sorry in advance if this question had already been asked.
  24. In Battlecrusier V2.09, I achieved the rank of TacOps Commander. Apart from my new salary and title, nothing seems to have happened (contrary to the manual, which says my command abilities should be extended). Is it supposed to be this way, or am I just missing something?
