  1. A publisher? I didn't know you had it in you. I'm eager to find out what brought you to this decision.
  2. quote: So, if you have imagination, grab your science ship and go seek out new worlds and civilizations. Its a massive world (as you've probably noticed) and that in itself should keep you occupied for a while. I don't know why, but this quote cracked me up! Maybe it's the idea of a 'science ship' followed up with the 'nothing science-related to do' quote.

  4. The World is not Enough didn't do it for me, though I did like seeing M actually do something. Die another Day is easily Brosnan's best work. Puts him right up with Connery, if you ask me. Some of the scenes were hilarious, too (I'd never laughed that hard during a Bond film before). Can't wait for the DVD. 9/10 I'd imagine word of mouth will keep this one in theatres for quite a while.
  5. True enough, but in most games that involve many players, there's some satisfaction to be had for 2nd or 3rd place. In the case of musical chairs, most would consider it a success just getting into the final rounds, even if you aren't the last player standing (or sitting, as the case may be). (Wow, 700. Exactly half as much as Nova. z00t.) [ 11-25-2002, 08:06 PM: Message edited by: Urza ]
  6. my iq and talent has soared to new heights. my intelligence may be the envy of all those that are wise, but it seems to have gotten the better of me. i tend to take things to the extreme and a chemical balance is nothing more than a pipe dream in my brain. i need to consider heavy medication... maybe even a straightjacket... 7. That wasn't difficult. Just stare at the center of a letter without reading the word.
  8. Oh my god, 222, my hand is so sore... So many popups...
  9. I'm guessing it's the wraparound, since there aren't any items at all between 10000 and 65000 (I've checked several stations), and I doubt a station would get 65000 of an exotic item like Titatium V in just one day. Or 65000 frag grenades, and just 1000 smoke grenades? How about 65000 ZS10 rifles and just 1200 Type 2 clips? My guess: An NPC tries to buy, say 1000 of an item that the station only has 500 in stock. This transaction is mistakenly permitted, and as the 1000 is deducted, the value is wrapped around to 65035.(or now 4295966795, which may overflow the display)

To replicate, just start a new game, and let a few hours of time pass, and check the station inventory. If you're not going to give a proper description of the problem, complete with reason why you think its wrong, let me know, so that I can delete your post. And whats obscene about 65000 of an item? It never did occur to you that the number could be capped at a max amount? Of course not. But as I said, your post makes no sense to me. Unless I'm missing something. Nothing, it just seemed odd that only a few items were at 65000 (Titanium/V, for example, something that is usually at a few hundred at most), while the rest were under 10000. Yes, I knew that it reaches a point where the number doesn't go up anymore (I was selling something, and the station count didn't go up). If this is correct, I apologize for wasting your time.

    ISS FLEET LOG FILES

[rp] Commander Urza Personal Log Location: Sol, Mars Shields: 100% Hull: 100% Condition: GREEN Finally managed to fix the ship back up after a few uninvited guests beamed aboard and trashed almost everything on the 2nd deck. Fortunately, there were no fatalities in the attack, but more than a few marines and medics had to have a lengthy stay in the medibay. The ship that launched this attack is believed to be cloaked and nearby at this very moment, perhaps planning another attack. I've placed fighters at all exits from the system, hoping to keep him here until he's forced to decloak. [/rp] Agreed. We need to get everyone back in ship shape.

  13. I hope this doesn't fall into the above category (I searched the VCF for "perscan"), but the location and FF of some personnel aren't being displayed in perscan if their FF is above 85 (approx.), and their LF is above 90(approx.). To replicate, try shutting off power to life support for a little while. As the crew gets injured, their LF will go down, and their FF will go up. This alone probably won't allow the crewman to fit the above criteria, but when a medic comes along and patches up the crewman, his LF will probably go back above 90, leaving his FF above 85. I also noticed that if I restore life support, and send the crew off duty, the information will gradually reappear as their FF falls below 85. This applies to all people on board (although I can't verify prisoners, guests, and intruders, I would guess that it applies to them as well), except for the commander, whose FF is perpetually at zero.

  17. Sorry, I've been swamped with RL issues lately. I may have one by this weekend.

That's why I refuse to take any art class, (ENGL 101 is the only one that's absolutely mandatory) or become involved in any computer project that may end up with me making a futile attempt at computer art. It's a skill I'd like to have, but I just lack any talent. Really, I can compose music better than anything that requires manual dexterity. [ 10-29-2002, 10:26 AM: Message edited by: Urza ]

  21. Ahem. As of 5th October, at 7:35 pm, I was officially 19 years old!
  22. I might be... My weekend plans are as yet unknown. Post a date, time, and IP, and I might show up.
  23. Ah, I didn't even think of that. I thought only FCs needed to be charged in that manner. It seems I was wrong.
  24. One of two things could be causing this. [*]The main gun has been severely damaged, so that it won't fire anymore. However, in this case, I believe the power indicator would go to zero immediately. [*]The main gun isn't recieving power. This could be because your reactor is damaged, or you inadvertantly turned it off. In either case, I think the power meter would slowly wane to zero, rather than jump there instantly. Try clicking on the gun icon on your hud, as this will allow you do turn it on if you did indeed switch it off at one point. Also, make sure your vehicle is indeed undamaged. Bring it back aboard your CC and check it from there, since the computer may display your damage incorrectly if it has been damaged.
