Sc seems to be talking about using the new gunships to guard shuttles, it doesn't seem to make sense to me. If the shuttles are so much faster how are you going to guard them? And if gunships only go 600 m/s a fighter group could missle them in an instant and be out of turret range before the crew knew what happened.

In KA you could also teleport marines to planets, onto enemy ships, and to/from space stations just like in BCM (But before BCM came out ;P) You could capture enemy ships and then give them commands afterwards. You could also play online in a mode where all you did was trade across the galaxy (though you didn't actually pick what you baught, you kinda got jobs from space stations) One thing I'd like to see in BCG is the ability to target subsystems on enemy ships, but if BCG is anything like BCM enemy ships will just explode after a few shots. I can never seem to disable an enemy ship, (maybe I just go over board with my trigger finger and all the battles only last for a short span even with a lot of ships involved. Don't forget the black holes you could get sucked into with KA, that was one of my favorite areas to battle in, the area around the black hole Event Horizone(SP) I'm a horrible speller when I'm sick and tired.

Just wondering a few things. 1)When you get into the transport will it be first person so that you can look around or out the doors while you're flying? 2)Will you be able to get shot inside the transport if some lucky sniper can get a good look at you from a strange angel while the ship turns? 3)Will you be able to move around inside and perhaps even SNIPER out of the doors past the gunner or off the back ramp? 4)Will you be able to close the back ramp to protect the things inside or will it always be open? 5)When you go VTOL will any of the engines move to face the ground ? (not really important, would just look neat) and if so will the engine burn any marines stupid enough to stand under them? 6)Why use a shuttle at all when you have everything you need right here? This seems like it would make shuttles totally useless. 7)Will marines be able to jump out before the ship lands and use their jetpacks? Will the things packed inside (OCs) Be able to drive out the back while the ship is still in the air for lightning drops at the expensive of a bit of damage? 8)Will it be possible to damage the OCs inside with a missle of laser blast from a fighter or an enemy gunship? 9)I assume it will be possible to turn off that spot light, it kinda gives you away if you're trying to be stealthy. Is it also possible for it to be shot out? Will it blind people if shinned into their eyes ? : ) The guys that came up with this thing are my heros, I can't wait to see what else you come up with in the near future. Keep up the good work!

OMG, this is the coolest thing I've ever seen in my entire life. I've ALWAYS loved Dropships and large VTOL transports! As the guy above me said it reminds me of Tribes only this baby looks SO much cooler! The one in tribes just let you lock your feet in and ride an adward looking thing. This baby looks real and you get INSIDE it! I can only imagine what it is going to be like to shoot one of these down and watch all the ground pounders inside screaming and jumping out trying to hold onto their precious lives ! Muwahaha, awsome job SC!

Would be nice if it was worked in 100% so that when a massive missle payload hits the bridge it leaves a massive hole in it and all the bridge crew gets sucked out into space (I know I am asking way to much for a any game this decade Would be so awsome if that happened though. Or if laser fire left rifts in the armor where it broke through and sucked crew out throug them, leaving thousands of dead bodies floating in space to run into. I would think if you did add this you'd need to make a back up bridge some place else on the ship that could carry out emergancy operations. That is a very cool idea Kal . Everything from the bridge being left off to the tip of a BCMKII's nose being torn off. Or many a fighter getting stuck in the bridge and you actually being able to see it slam into you and land at your feet, just before your sucked out or some blast doors close down over the windows.

New mission for all you insane mofo's out there for Christmas! 1)Start a new game and choose Storm Carrier as your CC (Obvious need to be a Gammie for this) 2) Go to a friendly planet and beam down all your marines onto the surface in a friendly area with nothing around. 3) Arrange your marines so that they make something special for the holidays! Beam down everyone on your ship if you have to!! 4)Take a screen shot when it is perfect and post them there 5)SMASH THEM WITH YOUR CC!

I had a strange thing happen the other day where I crashed my CC on Earth and it started to skip. I jumped out while I was on the ground and watched it fly up into the air over and over again, only to slam back into the ground face first over and over again. IT was fun to watch until it smashed me.

Towing with your CC isn't wise ,as I found out. They DO shoot at you, (I think) and when you tow you drop your shields. I towed an enemy fighter (I try to get everything I can And the danged thing took advantage and tore me up. Took minor damage to every ship system. Thank god Galcom HQ repaired everything on my ship for free , took about an hour RL time though, then died 5 seconds later.

A New mission for you insane people out there. Go make planet fall on Earth and then put your CC hovering next to a slanted building. Next land a shuttle with your OC in it and command your OC. See if you can jump your OC off the building so that it lands on your CC. THEN you can have some REAL fun ;P If you can do it send some screen shots my way!

Normally I have a shuttle tow them and you can give them the command to "deliver" then pick a friendly star base. You can also go to a starbase and dock with them and it will ask you if you want to deliver the ship in tow. The only thing I have a problem with is disabling larger ships, they always seem to explode! Does it matter WHERE you shoot them or how MUCH you shoot them? If there any way to order your ships to disable instead of destroy? Several times I've had enemy ships disable then one of my fighters blows it up!

For me when I click the box to take Evac off it will but as soon as I pick a general order it will mark the box again. At least I know I'm not a stupid noob or going even more crazy! Thanks for responding SC. For now I will just give them attack orders, will probably make them more effective any how. Merry Friday before Christmas

I have two ships, one of them is a Battle Cruiser MKII named Soulblade which is the last name of man who took Serondal in as a Child and became his father. He's named his ship the Soulblade for the purpose of remembering him. The second ship belongs to my other AE Charles Bradley (My name, woah ;P) And it is named GVC Louisville which is where I obviously live. I've always liked ships named after Cities and States. That ship is a Nightstar and hasn't at much success. I can't even seem to destroy an enemy figter with it! Any whoo, those are my current ship's names. I've treid searching for this across the forum but I've had no luck what so ever in finding. I seem to having a technical problem with my Tacops computer in that after I transport my marines down to the planet I can't give them general orders! I tell them to search and destroy, instead it gives them the halt command and marks them for Evac! (If this is meant to be I'm sorry for posting in the wrong place but I don't see how this could be meant to be) I'm running RC30 with all the previous patchs it requires from a fresh install. To recreate the problem I've done the following. 1. prep 8 marines for combat 2. Send Marines to the transporter room 3. Transport them down to a hostile city or mbase. 4. Zoom in on tacops to all your marines standing there like idiots. 5. Open their command menu and give them the order to search and destroy. Now that SHOULD make them run around blowing up everything correct? Instead it marks them for Evac and they still stand there doing nothing. I don't see how this could be an AI issue because it has nothing to do with the marines, and more to do with the tacops (I think) They work fine if I give them orders to attack a certain building or object but that would become tedious after they split up. For now that is how I am doing it however. Thanks for reading this, sorry I don't know how to post my specs yet. I discovered that it is possible to leave your ship and then LATCH yourself onto the hull with your mag boots. (I'm sure many of you know this) For those of you that havn't tried this, latch yourself to the bridge of your ship and then give it orders with your tacops. Don't do anything that would make it go to hyperspace however, as it will leave you floating in the cold void of space where no one can hear you scream! It is really great when you have it fight with someone ,of course if you do this don't stand in front of the pta turrets! I havn't tried to make the ship go into planet fall yet, however I expect that if I were latched to the ship I would become a charred version of my previous AE self. I would have to admit that I am crazy on some level

A bit of a warning about the X-Box. Someone above said that you never have to worry about it crashing but that simply isn't always the case. When another massive game, similiar to battlecruiser in its scale, was released on the X-Box it lost A LOT. For one when a PC game is released on the X-Box you can't patch it, so any mistakes that are in it when you release are there for good. Morrowind for the X-Box has so many bugs in it that it becomes almost unplayable to a certain point (If you're lucky like me) However it would be really nice to see a BC game on the X-Box because then you would be able to take full advantage of it's systems with out having to worry about it running on every system and every graphic card. What ever happens I believe SC to be wise and I know he will do what is best for his company.
