Pyros, just get a squadron (12) of the Tomcats together and supprise the wife. Personally, TA is my all time favorite game. BC is up there too, but TA is at the top. I don't think I've ever fired up a skirmish and not been drawn in to the battle that will soon rage on my computer. Fear not my fellow commanders! The battle will continue to rage on! Commander Phased really enjoys his Microsoft Intellipoint. Good shape, good weight, and there is no way in %$#@ I can live without a mouse wheel. Never gets "guncked up" either because of my mouse pad. I use a plastic star wars mouse pad with a rubber base. The big plus here is it doesn't shed lint or hold dust (two biggest causes of mouse gunk) like its cloth counterparts. Some good choices there. However I must admit that I've always been very partial to the Bubblegum Crisis series. Gotta love those Boomers. Well, unless you're an ex-cyberpunk player. In which case, gotta hate those boomers.

Ron, it hasn't really changed much. I was in HONOR flight 198 from the 321 TRS. Our head TI was SSgt Cabe. I think the earliest time we ever fell out was 0230 to go do Kitchen Details over at the 324 TRS. On average we woke up about 0445 and fell out about 0500 to sing the Air Force song and have morning chow. Well, perhaps I wouldn't exactly call it a fun time, but it was an experience. After a 6 1/2 week stay at Lackland AFB, I earned the right to be called an Airman. Even better, I have access to computers and soda once again. I'm down here at Keesler AFB Mississippi having a great time in tech school. Classes are tough, but so far so good. The Tech Control course is by no means easy, but I know I made the right job choice. So far the Air Force has been exactly what I expected. Well, just wanted to let you all know what I've been up to. I'll be stopping by on a regular basis, but not as often as I used to. At 13 cents a minute, it gets expensive using the internet. The problem you have encountered here as Derek would say is: quote:You have a standard bad install, bad patch, bad configuration issue going on. Go read the FAQ and start from scratch with your install. So there you go, delete the game with the method given in the faq and the install again using the directions in the faq. Follow the directions to the letter and this problem should be cured. Then, go through and read the whole FAQ, don't just skim it. Knowing I have the most current drivers for my video card, I removed all of its drivers completely and then re-installed the standard drivers that came with my card then updated them to the most current. This has fixed the problem with the dos box. So now I have a perfectly working 3DFX version of BC3K. Looks like it's about time to go put the hurt on those annoying Insurgents. Ok sir, I deleted all my patches save for my 1.0 to 2.01 upgrade and downloaded them again. I then deleted BC3K and installed following the direction in the FAQ to the letter. The game seems to be running fine, however I still have the before mentioned problem with the dos box not opening again after I quit BC. Is this a system configuration problem on my part? Or is it possible my 1.0 to 2.01 patch could be corrupted?
