    I'm back....well partially :(

Do they let you watch rated R movies? ------------------ Commander Phased GCV Indomitable ICQ 125478 "Follow me if I advance, kill me if I retreat, avenge me if I die!"

    WWII Online...

Kind of like Warbirds, but with more toys and better graphics. Should be very interesting to watch it develop. ------------------ Commander Phased GCV Indomitable ICQ 125478 "Follow me if I advance, kill me if I retreat, avenge me if I die!"

    Sadness

Pyros, just get a squadron (12) of the Tomcats together and supprise the wife. Just set them on a patrol close to her, but out of range of the flak cannons, set your tom-kittys to fire at will, then turn to her and yell "GREAT BALLS OF FIRE!" ------------------ Commander Phased GCV Indomitable ICQ 125478 "Follow me if I advance, kill me if I retreat, avenge me if I die!"

    Sadness

Personally, TA is my all time favorite game. BC is up there too, but TA is at the top. I don't think I've ever fired up a skirmish and not been drawn in to the battle that will soon rage on my computer. Fear not my fellow commanders! The battle will continue to rage on! For all of you who still play TA, you can get all new units here http://www.taucc.com/ 90 plus units here. Just make sure you get the Tomcat. Nothing brings to fear of god to core vermin like the Tomcat. Cavedog may be gone, but they left us with one hell of a game to remember them by. Too bad it was overshadowed by that POS Starcraft. ------------------ Commander Phased GCV Indomitable ICQ 125478 "Follow me if I advance, kill me if I retreat, avenge me if I die!"

    Your special pointer

Commander Phased really enjoys his Microsoft Intellipoint. Good shape, good weight, and there is no way in %$#@ I can live without a mouse wheel. Never gets "guncked up" either because of my mouse pad. I use a plastic star wars mouse pad with a rubber base. The big plus here is it doesn't shed lint or hold dust (two biggest causes of mouse gunk) like its cloth counterparts. Also, if it gets dirty for any reason, just wash and dry and you're ready to go in seconds. ------------------ Commander Phased GCV Indomitable ICQ 125478 "Follow me if I advance, kill me if I retreat, avenge me if I die!"

    Favorite anime

Some good choices there. However I must admit that I've always been very partial to the Bubblegum Crisis series. Gotta love those Boomers. Well, unless you're an ex-cyberpunk player. In which case, gotta hate those boomers.

    New Shots!

Mmmmm, more pictures...and whats this? Waypoint markers that actually look conveniant to use? In a computer game? This can't be so. You're starting to break the rules SC. By all means keep it up! ------------------ Commander Phased GCV Indomitable ICQ 125478 "Follow me if I advance, kill me if I retreat, avenge me if I die!"

After a fun time in Boot Camp, I'm back.

Ron, it hasn't really changed much. I was in HONOR flight 198 from the 321 TRS. Our head TI was SSgt Cabe. I think the earliest time we ever fell out was 0230 to go do Kitchen Details over at the 324 TRS. On average we woke up about 0445 and fell out about 0500 to sing the Air Force song and have morning chow. Those were the good old days... ------------------ Commander Phased GCV Indomitable ICQ 125478 "Follow me if I advance, kill me if I retreat, avenge me if I die!"
  9. Well, perhaps I wouldn't exactly call it a fun time, but it was an experience. After a 6 1/2 week stay at Lackland AFB, I earned the right to be called an Airman. Even better, I have access to computers and soda once again. I'm down here at Keesler AFB Mississippi having a great time in tech school. Classes are tough, but so far so good. The Tech Control course is by no means easy, but I know I made the right job choice. So far the Air Force has been exactly what I expected. Well, just wanted to let you all know what I've been up to. I'll be stopping by on a regular basis, but not as often as I used to. At 13 cents a minute, it gets expensive using the internet. Just a few more weeks and I'll be allowed to have my computer sent out here and will be able to play BC again. ------------------ Commander Phased GCV Indomitable ICQ 125478 "Follow me if I advance, kill me if I retreat, avenge me if I die!"

    Microsoft in the Poo...my thoughts

Interesting thought Parias. Do you care to elaborate a little more though? ------------------ Commander Phased GCV Indomitable ICQ 125478 "Follow me if I advance, kill me if I retreat, avenge me if I die!"

    Game Crash with error

The problem you have encountered here as Derek would say is: quote:You have a standard bad install, bad patch, bad configuration issue going on. Go read the FAQ and start from scratch with your install. So there you go, delete the game with the method given in the faq and the install again using the directions in the faq. Follow the directions to the letter and this problem should be cured. Then, go through and read the whole FAQ, don't just skim it. Good luck. ------------------ Commander Phased GCV Indomitable ICQ 125478 "Follow me if I advance, kill me if I retreat, avenge me if I die!"

    Game Crash with error

Knowing I have the most current drivers for my video card, I removed all of its drivers completely and then re-installed the standard drivers that came with my card then updated them to the most current. This has fixed the problem with the dos box. So now I have a perfectly working 3DFX version of BC3K. Looks like it's about time to go put the hurt on those annoying Insurgents. Thank you for all your help. I feel I've read that FAQ through so many times I'll someday be able to repeat it back to my children. ------------------ Commander Phased GCV Indomitable ICQ 125478 "Follow me if I advance, kill me if I retreat, avenge me if I die!"

    Game Crash with error

Ok sir, I deleted all my patches save for my 1.0 to 2.01 upgrade and downloaded them again. I then deleted BC3K and installed following the direction in the FAQ to the letter. The game seems to be running fine, however I still have the before mentioned problem with the dos box not opening again after I quit BC. Is this a system configuration problem on my part? Or is it possible my 1.0 to 2.01 patch could be corrupted? In which case I'm guessing I'm SOL? ------------------ Commander Phased GCV Indomitable ICQ 125478 "Follow me if I advance, kill me if I retreat, avenge me if I die!"

    Game Crash with error

Ok, here my crash error report. DOS/4GW Professional error (2001): exception 0Dh (general protection fault) at 1 27:0000080F TSF32: prev_tsf32 6B10 SS 2C3 DS 0 ES 0 FS 127 GS 0 EAX 83FC174A EBX 217 ECX 0 EDX 0 ESI 14F EDI 127 EBP 0 ESP F9C CS:IP 127:0000080F ID 0D COD 0 FLG 10206 CS= 127, USE16, byte granular, limit 5F8F, base 83931C90, acc FB SS= 2C3, USE32, byte granular, limit FFF, base 83931C90, acc 40F3 DS= 0, USE16, byte granular, limit 0, base 83931C90, acc 0 ES= 0, USE16, byte granular, limit 0, base 83931C90, acc 0 FS= 127, USE16, byte granular, limit 5F8F, base 83931C90, acc FB GS= 0, USE16, byte granular, limit 0, base 83931C90, acc 0 CR0: unavailable Crash address (unrelocated) = 5:0000080F Also, for some strange reason after I exit BC3K or it crashes, I can no longer open up a dos box. Instead, my system will either a) Present me with a black screen and my monitor will tell me it's recieving no signal, or it will lock. Perhaps this is somehow related to the crash problem? ------------------ Commander Phased GCV Indomitable ICQ 125478 "Follow me if I advance, kill me if I retreat, avenge me if I die!"
