  1. XOR, I am sure there's some massive conspiracy amongst opticians, you know. At the same time myself, my brother and my sister were all prescribed glasses. I wore mine, they didn't wear theirs. Now I'm stuck with them for life while their eyes are perfect. Furthermore, I have spoken to a lot of people who have pretty much exactly the same story to tell. Seriously.
  2. The way I see it, Insurgents probably still live by some sort of moral code. They're not criminals in a certain point of view, they're simply rebelling against Galcom for what they believe to be a common good, hence the name Insurgent rather than Criminal.
  3. First things first - I need to get myself a PC that has a chance of running the bugger! Plans are underway to get hold of an Alienware next year, but for now I'm looking to get something that will definitely run UC. Ooohhhhh, I just can't wait for UC.
  4. As a matter of fact, there was a game of Plan 9 From Outer Space, and it was bloody good, too.
  5. Haha, yeah, imagine Resnig telling you to RTFM. That'd be ironic...
  6. David Fincher never disappoints. Whatever happened to the version 2 'decent' DVD release, though? I was looking forward to that. Don't wanna have to settle for the barebones version.
  7. You might know him as American Psycho. Of course, in the time it took you to post your message you could've just checked the IMDB.
  8. I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but I also read that organic screens are being developed. They're coated with organic cells that can flouresce when an electrical charge is supplied. They're also bendy! Here's a link that I quickly found. I have no particular affiliation with Toshiba, it's just the first link I found.
  9. Muahahaha, some friends and I on another board have been following this thing's 'development' for ages. It's provided many an hour of amusement! I think I'll stick to the PC, the greatest games platform there is.
  10. Christopher Nolan?! Seriously? Wow, this might be the first decent Batman since, well, the first one!

If it weren't for time issues I'd be playing it now.erm, the selling of the video unit has nothing to do with you liking Eve. Obviously if the video games unit was making money, they won't need to sell it, would they? Have I missed something? All I meant was that I don't have enough free time to play a MMORPG. Any MMORPG. And if I only had time to play one, it'd be Eve. quote:Eve is not profitable I would imagine.Probably - the highest number of players that have ever been simultaneously logged in is 6,301. It's a pity. Oh well, it's their (the people who don't play) loss.
  12. Well I seem to be at odds with most people here. I loved Eve. If it weren't for time issues I'd be playing it now. I was a beta tester, and had it preordered for the live release. Didn't regret a second of it. It's beautiful and immersive, and if you join a decent corporation (which, to be fair, is what CCP have always said the game is all about) you can have more fun than in any other MMORPG I've played. Hopefully at some point I'll be able to go back to it for a month to see what's happening. Can't wait!
  13. Main guns are not an option I'm afraid. They have been destroyed for ages now, and I can't seem to get them repaired for some reason. Besides, I don't have a joystick (desk not big enough) and I can't seem to get mouse flight to work. Doesn't matter, those cities are easy to take out anyway, and money isn't a problem. I'm not really in the big league yet so mining provides me with more than enough cash.
  14. quote:Originally posted by dennymala: you can even fly lower and activate your EMD to dodge the missiles.......Yeah, or just cloak.
  15. I found another good use for the PTA - strafing. In an Aestrom, I will hover in VTOL about 7-8 Km from an enemy city at an altitude of about 1000-2000 feet, then arm my PTA turrets and watch them level the entire place. Splendid!
  16. quote: just make sure you don't break the rules or else......Haha, yeah, that was made quite clear to me when I joined! Which is why whenever I have a question I always go back to the manual first, and the answer's always either there or buried in the forum somewhere. Having said that, I was going to ask about a weird invisible ship phenomenon I have been encountering (no, not cloaking, not even I'm that stupid), but I think I'll wait until I'm absolutely sure it hasn't been covered somewhere... Nice to meet you, too! A fan of BC or Morrowind is a friend of mine indeed! By the way, would everyone please stop scaring me with the red t-shirt stuff? I was just gonna give it to Resnig anyway. BC is scary enough as it is. I'm getting tough now, though - I even blew up a shuttle the other day! Fearsome ships, those shuttles...

Here's your t-shirt, wear it proud Thanks SC! *greedily grabs t-shirt, orders the BC jacket, trousers and thong* This is gonna look great! Can anyone tell I'm addicted to BCMG already?
  18. Thanks for the warm welcome, Jaguar! quote:There's a lot to see, so take a peek aroundHaha, yeah, I have been nosing around the board whilst waiting for my membership to be confirmed. The team have done a superb job of documenting everything and placing it all within easy reach. Don't worry, before I ask any questions I'll try my hardest to make sure they haven't been answered elsewhere. I don't wanna get a bollocking for at least a couple of weeks.
  19. Hi. My name's Huw and I'll be your newbie for today! I'm a relative newcomer to the BC series. I downloaded BC3K some time last year and was totally wowed by it, but sadly it didn't run very well on my PC. Undaunted, I got hold of the demos for BCM and they didn't work particularly well either. A couple of weeks ago, though, I wandered back to the website and found news of BCMG and I thought to myself "well this one HAS to work", and duly ordered it (from the ONE single website I could find that sells it in the UK). BCMG, I was ecstatic to discover, runs brilliantly on my system, and there was much rejoicing! I've been playing it avidly over the last few days, and getting my arse roundly kicked by just about anything that moves, heh. But I'm slowly getting to grips with it. I just can't believe the scope of BC, and as so many others have said, BCMG is pretty much the answer to my gaming prayers (at least as far as space sims go - for RPGs there's Morrowind ). So I hope to be around for quite some time. How are all you guys today?
