  1. I did research but I couldn't find any posts on help with changing the textures of weapon effects and contrails for individual ships. Since Pugwash says "just about everything depicted in the BCM /G universe can be changed" I now know it's possible to adjust these things!!! but how do I go about doing this? I simply want to change the laser turret and contrail effects so that they differ from other ships. I've tried to some extent with contrails, but it seems my revisions aren't seen in the game. Could someone please be kind and help me if they know of any solutions. I'd be very grateful...
  2. I'm quite the noobie when it comes to this department, so please be kind... I was wondering what sort of things will we be able to do with the GBS tool? I know some of the things you can change already, like textures and what not, but what about weapon effects? Say for example I wanted to change the lasers from the turrets to green on the warmonger, Would I be able to do something as specific as that? Would I be able to adjust all the weapon effects, conrails and damage effects for each ship in the game to something different? You see, I'm having trouble distinguishing which laser beam came from whom in the game? They either look like they came from my ship or my enemy's ship. Anyone else have this problem? I would be very much oblijed to anyone who can respond,in anyway, to my post. Thanx...

  5. Sorry, I couldn't find a post that covered my query so I had to make a new one. I was wondering, does anyone know how to change the cursor in BCM? I want mine to be a tad more techy like and battlecruiserish I tried looking for an independent cursor file in the BCM directory but no luck... If anyone can help me or respond in some way, I'd be very much obliged...
  6. I must say, that was one cool movie. The jungle fighting was pretty atmospheric with all the vegetation. Muzzle flashes in the bushes!! Pretty sweet!!!!!!! The setting was really murky with the lightning and rain effects. Um... are all the models the same for every race?   8. A virtual cockpit would have been cool in UC. Thats something its missing, along with cockpit textures. But I'm still going to get it... Along with X2
  9. Show as much of everything as you can!! Fighter/Fighter attacks and the new marine management system thinger would be great to see! Vehicles especially, seeing some turret action while driving... that would be neat.
  10. Is there any water effects when impacting the water, like how that marine did in those pictures? Any splash? Do ships leave water 'contrails' or foam tracks of any sort while moving? and waves dont exist, do they?

  13. Does anybody find space marines effective? I find they do little to nothing when space stations deploy them for defence. I can't find any practical use for them. What does everyone else use them for and for what find of situations? Will UC have any use for them? One things for sure, they are sure fun for exploring and getting that sense of scale!

  15. My concern about the vegetation is dead and gone. I'm completly satisfied with the answer. There is no need to warn me about anything, I'm not doing anything out of line here. Also, as a follow up to what Arsonide is asking, will the player be able to conquer the entire galaxy and can a player completely eliminate his opponent, or at least, bring them close to annihilation? For example, the Terrans destroy all of the Gammulan assets, stations, bases. The Gammulans are no more. Maybe this feature was cut, I dont know. Perhaps well see it in a patch?
