Just a few thoughts to add: 1. Never fight the enemy on his terms, always fight them on your own if possible. Nothing can screw up an offensive as completly as an enemy who refuses to abide by your carefully laid-out attack plan. Initiave and surprise are two of our greatest weapons,and having a battlecruiser uncloak on top of a galcom fighter formation, nailing a couple fighters, then running back to defensive positions, is an example of disrupting the formation and instilling fear in the enemy. ------------------ Cmdr Rampspite Spectre Fleet Commander, Sygan Station ICV Phantom motto "Isn't that what shields are for?"

[RP] 1950 hours, march 14, 3008 Sygan, Bernard's star. The Wormhole leading into Bernard's star starsystem subtly undulated and deformed, marking the invisible passage of a cloaked ship either into or out of local space. Then the thin fuselage and broad delta wing of a constellation class battlecruiser faded into view and while the ship bore no markings her transponder dubbed her as the insurgent Vessel ICV Phantom. The starship rolled as it turned towards the distant Sygan starstation, then began accelerating as the ship transmitted it's authorization codes. Within Sygan station's Operations center Lieutenant Kromor read the display screen in front of him. Seeing that the codes were genuine, he keyed in the standard acknowledgment code and sent it back to the new ship. Kromor then studied the ship's image on his tactical screen, he'd never seen this particular ship before, though that wasn't entirely unusual here. Especially lately with Commander Andergum being assigned on some secret mission, at least that was the rumor. The name phantom seemed familiar to him. And there were always rumors, Komor thought. Gammulans on the move again, Galcom personel defecting in droves, weapons prices fluctuating wildly. He didn't know whether to be alarmed or bored. the buzzing from the com panel caught his attention. The Phantom had just hyper-jumped to the station and was hailing them, he activated the display. a youthful human female face appeared on the screen, "This is ICV Phantom, requesting docking clearance." "Clearance Granted, initiate automatic docking sequence," Kromor responded as he activated the docking guidance system. "Also, Commander Ramspite requests the presence of all senior staff in the Station Commander's office in 15 minutes." Kromor paled. Of course, he thought, it's the new station commander's ship! the face on the screen seemed to be expecting something from him. "uh, ok. I mean Immediately, and welcome home phantom."
