  1. Blade II was hilarious! All the wrestling moves they threw in there were so stupid. Anyhow, sounds like I might have to give this movie a look myself. I've been brushing it off as automatic crap since I saw the first preview. So, thanks guys. Now I'm gonna be out another $8
  2. Oh! Oh! Me next! Currently finishing up my last year of college for Interactive Design I'm staying in Detroit, MI, soon to move to NY, NY I'm 22 I'm gonna get married in a couple months (July actually)
  3. Just saw it tonight myself. I gotta say, it wasn't the pointless piece of crap I thought it would turn out to be. I thought it was a lot of fun. It was very comic-booky, lots of cool action, and lots of cats. You can't lose with cats. 8/10
  4. For anyone who might have gotten this game, my name in the Outbreak "chat rooms" is "Robstein".

    Batman Begins

    God, that thing looks scary.
  6. I just got 2004 myself a few days ago. Fun game, but what I'm really waiting for are some mods like 2003 had.
  7. All beer tastes like poopy to me.
  8. Just saw Dawn of the Dead tonight. I really liked it. The beginning was definetely one of the best for a zombie movie ever, and the movie as a whole I thought was really cool. There were only a couple parts I thought were cheesey/a little too much. I won't go into detail, but a couple parts were either too typical or would've been cooler/creepier if they stoped the scene about 30 seconds sooner. 9/10
  9. Ah yes, Sky Captain. Wating on that one, too.
  10. Nice! I dunno, maybe I should just play and get my ass handed to me, huh? I can call it a learning experience.
  11. If anyone here has the Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow multiplayer demo, we should play some time. I've read so many great things about the MP mode, but so far haven't had much luck playing (since I hate being totally new and ending up in a game with a bunch of vets who finish me off before I even figure out where I'm going). So, if anyone has it, let's work out a game or two. If anyone doesn't have it, but likes Splinter Cell, download it. It rocks
  12. That's just too scary for me to accept.
  13. quote:Originally posted by Scrivener: Zombies are the stupidest and most 'not-scary' of all horror movie creatures... See, I always thought zombies were the one of the most scary horror movie creatures. There's just something about the living dead that creeps me out to no end.

    IRON MAN

Tom Cruise as Tony Stark? I dunno. Doesn't seem like it'll work to me, but then again, I raised an eybrow at Toby Maguire playing Spiderman, so I'm probably gonna be tasting my foot again.

    I, Robot

So they took an old Outer Limits episode, turned it into a movie and stapled on the I, Robot name? Bleh
  16. Don't know if anyone saw this in the other thread, so I thought I'd try here. I got linked to this trailer from Penny Arcade yesterday and nearly cried when I realised this probably wouldn't make it to the states . Any thoughts? [ 05-04-2004, 10:17 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  17. I'm chomping at the bit for RE: Outbreak. I also got the Pandora Tomorrow demo and all I can say is, damn.
  18. Looks like we'll have to organize some games around 3/30, huh?
  19. I was wondering who, if anyone here is looking forward to RE: Outbreak (which comes out on the 30th no less ) Personally, I'm bouncing off the walls waiting for it. THe idea of the multiplayer, holding the door shut against zombies while your pals get to safety, beating zombies with pipes, beautiful full 3D, hiding from monsters, etc... Guess my love for RE is pretty obvious, huh? Ah well. So, WHO'S WITH ME!?
  20. quote:Originally posted by Joel Schultz: I like mine because it reminds me of a cool villain, Sephiroth, from Final Fantasy VII. Not that that's anything like me. It just looks cool. Plus, it kind of looks anime. Yeah, anime rocks! I have no idea who actually is supposed to be portrayed by the avatar image. It's Vincent, ironically from FF7. But Vincent was definetely the most badass playable character in 7 anyways, so it's all good.
  21. Certainly sounds like a cool idea. Get some folks together, put together a small task force and storm an enemy spawn point. That'd be so cool!
  22. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Why would he need to patch first? The statement he made, is just stupid. He is - foolishly talking about Earth as seen from space, due to its angle of rotation. All I did in the patch was move the starting position of the stations out, so that more of the planet could be seen.Admitedly when I first started playing Earth looked like a big blue marble from where I started, which I came to understand is due to the proximity of the planet and its rotation. Once the addition was made to start further out, it was obvious that the Earth was detailed with landmasses, etc... So with the patch I think it's probably a lot less likely for someone just starting out to make that kind of mistaken snap judgement. But since he seemed to be doing a simple "in-and-out" review, he probably didn't consider taking the time to look into that. That probably also explains his complaint about it taking too long to get anywhere. I know without the patch I would start too close to hyperjump to the planet, but it was also too far IMO to wait to reach the planet. After the patch I can see the Earth in all its splendor and jump to it from the get-go. Beautiful. I'm basically just making the comment that his more "typical" complaints seem to be related to the fact that he had no patience with the game, didn't try to learn anything, and got frustrated when he tried to just charge through it. I doubt he read the manual much and he probably didn't go looking for help on how to play. If he even knew how to use the TACOPS, he'd probably be singing a different tune.
