  1. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work. I have a server box with no monitor, so I use WinVNC to remote desktop to it. I used it at a LAN once to run an Unreal Tournament 2004 server, and the only way I could run that server was from the command-line dedicated server. ANYTHING I tried to run through WinVNC (which is basically the same as windows remote desktop), well, it ran on the box, but all I saw was a black screen. If you want to dry it anyway, good luck. But I'm pretty sure anything that uses Direct-X or such will just be a black screen.
  2. I started a Roam campaign in a Sentry-class ship, and I decided to actually make up a mild background for my crew and write about and expand upon their adventures as they go along. The story depicts them all as very talented in what they do, but complete newbs to doing it in space. Let me know what you think (and if there are any discrepancies between my story and the UC universe). They've just started out, and I intend to continue playing it, but writing the story as I go along takes effort so if nobody's reading it, I don't want to waste my time writing it. So have a look-see! It's in .doc format, you can find it here.
  3. Ok, I wanted to know if this was because I did the first mission in an unexpected way, or if I'm not requesting my next mission correctly: For the first ACM mission, I went straight to LV-103 (after taking a little time to mine to buy more Radine and Plutonium), and started escorting the Falkyrie delegates. (I'm still new at escort control and I lost the support fleet in the first system that had an enemy starbase). Then I decided, to make things faster, I was going to take FLX-10 from Otura-6 to Mondial, and shorten the trip from 33 jumps to 10. Now, the delegates won't follow you through the fluxfield, but I hopped into a shuttle and towed them through anyway. When I got to LV-130, They docked with the station as normal, and I got medals, but I couldn't go on to the next mission. I tried the HUD command, the key command (CTRL+ALT+C), and I tried waiting for the timer to run out, and even going back to Pravis and trying it there. No luck. I haven't tried doing the mission without using the fluxfield. Is it failing because I took an unexpected shortcut, or is it because I'm doing something wrong? (I wasn't sure whether to put this in Tech Support... I'm not really in a bind, I was just curious as to whether doing it this way stops the mission from completing correctly).
  4. I noticed that unless I'm watching the shuttles through TacOps, when I send them down to deploy mining drones they often have issues landing. But when I either watch them through TacOps or target them and view them with F10, they're fine. Maybe they feel me watching them...
