Well...my systems limited for what it can do (TX to video)...in process to upgrade video, but for now I have the Intel stuff to deal with (in other posts for UC...can't OTS or do a thing with bases now) I'll say this though..my systems only about a year 'n a half old now 'out of the box', and I don't know much about all the versions for SC's simulations either... Derek HAS supported these beyond what anyone else had for a game/program/simulation. To me, that shows comittment to me, though I am only a loyal UC fan though, anything made by SC....you can count on it being in MY collection ASAP folks. (even if I download it...when I got the $ to do it (IE FRAG Dreamcatcher and any others)...when I can I'll ask SC personally on it for an official copy. Well, yeah.... Every sites going to be different on tests and such...but I've had a recient chance to do a test to SAME sites, but with different users and connections, all in the same town. (probably common knowledge, but I just got done talking with her online and found this out) Mine: Mediacom cable connection (NW IOWA for both) Hers: DSL through Verison Overall seems we can get files almost the same time-frame...sending them mines slower (by about 40%, but thats due to my card I'm using and Mediacom not taking compressed info into them, hers accepts compression) It all depends on the area that your in, what company your using at the time, bandwidth being used during it, compression...ect ect... Internets a dynamic place...seen the UC servers running from 57 to 126 ping times to boot, so, all ANY testing site can do is just help give you a rough estimate at the time your doing the test really, so whether your dial-up, ASDL, Modem, whatever...if you really want a true average, use as many sites as you can throughout the world and test frequently...THEN average all the results out for yourself...Even just tests done myself between a Cable and a DSL connection in the same town seem nearly similar for smaller files...

Shadow5731 Challenges for a Duel DarkCommander Sunday 19th after matches are over. I'm also helping out Spectre fleet here with my XShadowX AAE and need to get Alpha matches made too (IE personal promotion up-coming yet to correct rank status as of this post and ect.ect.) Cloaking to be decided by flip of coin when match happens between us by each flipping a coin...if flip matches, cloaking enabled, if differs, no cloaking. (why not make it interesting right?)

Not necessarily off-topic, but if you'd like, I could get the trailer for you and send it to you in pieces through e-mail Grayson...(to keep it from getting cluttered, let me know in PM on that) I've been a Stargate fan since it first came out...on DVD have them ALL and watch them incessantly too...can't wait till they come out with the new ones, I just hope with the cast changes, that it doesn't go down-hill.....to me, always been a good show to watch, even my WIFE watches it with me (if you knew her, you'd be thinking "holy-$#@#, same as I do half the time)

All I'll say is this: I'm not gonna buy ANY product from Dreamcatcher...here on out. Reasons simple really. They F****D a developer over and probably will again to anyone if given the chance. I'm also throwing away ANY product I have here that have their name on it too (still gotta look, but I don't think I do but for UC)...exceptions being are any developed by SC NO developer should be treated that way as far as I'm concerned. (I don't speak for Prime either in this post...I speak PERSONALLY on the matter...)

My opinion on them in that link yesterday here Darkling....is this: They ain't got the BRAINS to think on their own with whats given to them (ALL or any who complain if thought about really), given what is here by SC (in any made availiable)...I feel they should read below...then read 3 times more ok? I don't think SC designed these 'games'...for a "Welcome 4 year old experience"... If anything, he meant it for ones that are in these statements that follow: (Potential quote, but opinion all the same here) Wrap your brain around THIS and try to figure it out...why tell you everything for? You have all the knowledge to guide you, given to you upon a silver platter...why SHOW you the way...do it as YOU see fit...then your actions, and time will tell how it nds up. MANY aspects, many possibilities as well...Like life really...another life perhapse...... (Won't say...but if time availiable SC...mind telling me if I'm CLOSE atleast?)

Not completely on topic, but, if you happen to do updates like that Travia21 (bounding around through versions)....it IS better to un-install it all, then start from scratch...and go back up to the latest version using all patches you can get your hands on. It's rare you come across updates that cover each-other from version to version, but SC here, has done the best damn job I ever seen...especially past times allotted to take care of them as well... Re-install then update to the latest, and see what happens is all I can say there Travia21.

An option that I've found suitable is get WinRAR...it extracts ACE files as easy as most others generally used for compression. (ZIP, ACE, RAR...quite a few others)...easy to use too.

it MAY have changed, but another way to prove yours is a valid copy is to send a scan of the CD itself...other than that though, you may be out of luck.

If done right, them nasty intruders are either dead, captured, or trying to make way to the Medibay...where....OOPS...they still end up running a gauntlet there (kinda like watching my wife try to fix her computer....it just ends up REEEEAL bad)

I didn't even get by the first paragraph and I'm plain outright pissed-off and disgusted.

I myself, tend not to use any repair programs, mostly just keep up on the HD maintenance and Windows errors with Norton Utilities...the rest seems to keep going fine here...well, until I make a mistake typing in a program and start wiping files by accident
