  1. BCO and spore... i'm generally not one to follow mainstream hype but this one got me bad
  2. There's no real crisis. Korea is too poor to start any real conflict with the US. The communist leaders are just trying to flex some muscles from the days of "old glory". What's troubling about it is the fact that while the north korean peoples are starving the leaders are busy with useless show-off weapons
  3. Saddam did sponser the palestinian suicide bombers (proven fact , he declared it himself) 20k USD per person. Getting him out of the way pretty much stopped those in israel.
  4. All they did is change the way filesharing works nowadays. Napster hosted the files on their servers in huge quantity making them an easy target. The more popular methods nowadays such as bittorrent are decentralized. Hence you'd have to attack the userbase on a personal level and with sites like the piratebay having a million users per day that would be logistically impossible. Also the number of cases they did follow through with (not settled via bully tactics) are still too slim but yes it's a scary trend. Don't they teach flexiability at business school or something? Holding a customer at gunpoint (which seems like what the RIAA does) won't get him to buy the goods. Edit: What's more sickening is what they did to mysongbook.com. Now their claiming tabs made by users of commerical songs are an infringment because "they sound like the originals" lol wtf? I guess now if someone hums the song on the street he should pay royalities (or something).
  5. dude those are just cease and desist letters (aka corporate smoke and mirrors) sent on a user basis. most of the clips are still around. the RIAA is big on talk but rarely gets a breakthrough , let alone something that big.
  6. Crazy stuff? hmm. how about driving a cruiser right into a station and watching it die on it's own SDM's trying to get to me while i'm in the station gaps
  7. yes that's me , soz. thought it was rp name or what not.
  8. ah sweet , loved seeing them wander about in bc3k really added to the whole sci-fi universe meh it's just the mecha fan in me talking xD
  9. My first impressions can be summed up in one word : "Wow". fps mode is much more smooth then in UC or BCM and does feel to a sort like an actual fps. i'll just divide my impression into the usual review: Graphics- imo the reviews and general populace don't do the game justice , i find the graphics to be top-notch. sure you don't have all the fancy shadows or what not but it serves it's purposes and is generally appeasing for the game of this genre. btw is it me or did resnig get a haircut since bc3k? Sound - not that far off from the older titles , loved the new music though. Gameplay - not that much new but having consistancy in the series can be a good thing. as i've mention before , loved the new ground unit handling. i still get an occasional crash while messing around with the oddball ground unit (ie mobile forward base) but the game's far more stable then previous titles. overall : 9/10 (would have been a 10/10 if i'd seen some new assets or at least old ones coming back , ie the mechs in bc3k even )
  10. Hi all , long time bc fan here. been following the series ever since the bc3k tech demo (ah the joys of boxy ship models ) , bought UC : AWA a few days ago and thought i'd drop in.
