  1. Wolferz Knock yourself out! BTW, i ''physically'' have UC AWA users booklet(guide/whatever), i was thinking of using that while playing the special edition, since my SE is D2D version, so no such book is included (naturally) and i dont wan't to print out too much. (maybe just the keys...) Have the two games become soo different than eachother that the AWA book would be invalid for SE edition?, orr ?
  2. Hmm, pity pity, such a pity. As i have previously pointed out, i have several BC games, and been a fan for quite a long while, even though i only posted once,,,,, quite recently to ask for a little advice. Its a pity because; apperantly, with each successive BC game, the games became much LESS buggy and much more ''playable'' to the limit that the latest special-edition is so far, completly bug free from *MY* personal experience with the game. Sad, as it seems that the so called ''reputation'' or shall i say, infamy of the previous games keep on following UC Special Edition, EVEN THOUGH its totally UNdeserved. I always kept on buying BC games in the past, knowing that the developers would sooner or later nail it down,,, and that they did. Some people just run a single instant mission, look at a few tress, say that they are flat and graphics (in general) are whatnot and dismiss the game,, its a shame that they don't pay attention to the **overall-scope** of the game, at all, ahh than they would undersand. ALSO, I absolutly love the fact that in all BC games, the *CREW* play an important role, as personally, i don't find commandeering a huge space ship with just me and the AI so fun. And the fact that i can track the ┬┤personell running around and doing this and that is totally awesome beyond words... There are just a few more things that i could wish for in this game (realistically speaking),, and that would be; 1-Fighters are fine, but capships should be a litte more bulky and ''heavy'' while moving and manuevering. 2-I can understand that in the future, perhaps, they have come to a level of technology that traditional turrets with muzzles and barrels and whatnot are NOT necessary, BUT still seeing bigger front guns AND rotating TURRETS would have added more to the overall-feeling of commandeering a cap-*battle*ship, in my opinion. 3-Cockpits. I know that they can be lots of work, but at least a few of em would be appriciated, maybe a few fighter and vehicle cokcpits, and especially a caphip cockpit. Like they ones in the original* BC games, but preferably a little more up-to-date. PS; Jumping out of you spaceship is even actually fun now, as the space suit looks awesome without overexagerating things, and so does the vehicles, ships, and infantry. Also, the new landmasses in the game look better than ever, sometimes its even a sight to behold. (AGAIN, IMHO)
  3. Well, i got both Battlecruiser Milenium gold, and Universal combat (boxed versions) and UC-AWA, as well as the UC-Special edition (D2D versions), so got a total of 4 different manuals for BC games, all in all. ) But sometimes, when you don't know something, a little push in the right direction helps alot. And don't even get me started on'em damn pirates.
  4. heh heh, Mission accomplished, so far uninitiated Homo Sapien 1, Timmy boy= 0!
  5. Well, that makes three words, too much to compute. But, seriously though, thanks! Time to prove Tim Stone of PC Gamer Uk WRONG!
  6. OOps, i placed the post where i deemed it to be the most appropriate, BUT if it is misplaced, please move it, cheers.
  7. Hello, im a first time post'er, long time fan. Just downloaded UC Special edition from direct2drive and registered here. Here is the jiggy, im almost a total n00b, and i can barely land my ship on the (closest)planet and whatnot. BUT Everytime i land on a planet (for example, EARTH) i do so during NIGHT-time. I want to land on earth during day-time, to see how things look when the sun is up, but i can't, because every time (for example; during ROAM) i target a planet and hit ''shift-9'' (or whatever the command was) i break through the planets atmostphere when its --9pm or later....-- And i don't want to leave the computer/game running for 12 hours (or so) while i wait for the sun to shine. Please give some advice to me about how i can make PLANET-FALL During day-time. Thanks in advance. PS= Sure, i can run some *instant missions* to get some planet-wise daytime action, but i gotta see how planets look daytime DURING roam and campaign scenarios, there is a reason for it, but let us not worry about it now. I really gota do that, plz advice.
