OK thanks for the vote of confidence. I can either RP myself, the event between you and Kal, or you can go ahead and RP that part of the story. Basically that is what we are waiting on. I'm ready to post now with the continuation of the story-line. I still advocate the use of timestamps, since our posts are going to be spread out over several days/weeks ect. That is just my opinion to keep everyone in the same time-frame and applicable context of posts over time. Your mileage may vary... However, I would ask each commander who is willing to finish this RP to PM me to discuss subplots and overall storyline. This isn't to mandate RP posts, but to give each commander a synopsis of the direction the story is going so that they may RP confidently within the framework of the plot-line. This is a free-form RP, but I really think we should adhere to the traditional precepts that make a BC-RP work.. that's just my opinion. I can go ahead and post now, but what I have is subject to my own interpretation of the story so far, and may not reflect what each individual character wishes to accomplish in this RP. Please PM me, so we can get these things resolved or allow me to just "run with it" and continue the RP. Also, can I get a acknowledgment here of commanders still in the RP. I need to know which characters are active and which aren't..that way we all know whom we can emulate in our posts.

Yeah.. I'm working on that.. Sho can free-form that if he wants as it's isn't really relevant to the overall plot. I'll be updating everyone to the basic plot and where everyone is going so that they have a general path in their free-form. Otherwise we can resort to anarchy and just post until the RP dies from incoherence. I need some "yehs or nehs" here.. you guys want me to structure this RP or what?

So I'm curious how people here view the recent Healthcare Reform bill recently passed by the House and Senate. Do you think it's unconstitutional? Constitutional? Does the Federal Government has the authority to mandate that all private individuals must comply through force of arms to purchase a federal government insurance product? How do people feel about the fact that most of the administration of these products will be outsources to India? Do you feel it's a necessary or unnecessary growth of Federal powers over the States? Do the States have the authority to refuse to mandate the bill within their respective territories? Anyone have an opinion?

That's kewl..we won't use timestamps. I know that Q doesn't really care who runs this RP, so someone take charge so we can finish this thing. It's been ages since we've complete a damn RP here. If you guys trust me to run the thing, I'm working on it, if not I'll just go back to free-forming my characters within whatever story you guys make.. no harm no foul.

You can actually fit into this RP nicely. You can either Free-form RP as an Indie without affiliations, or I can PM you about the general plot-line?

Does anyone have any objections of using timestamps to set each post in context to other posts? I know it's a pain, but it's hard to structure a free-form RP without timestamps.

Dunno..I've tried to reach him on Yahoo.. so I hope he's ok. However..we talked when this whole RP started and I was supposed to keep it going, and I kinda dropped the ball because of economic reasons.. but I'm working on getting this RP rolling.. Please bear with me.. you'll enjoy it once it starts up again. We are going for the classic BC3K RP here. I'll be contacting all the relevant players to discuss the RP potentials for the story. It's a classic RP so all posts are individual, but we gotta have a plot and storyline and know where we are going within that context.. I'm working on it..

I hear ya Shingen, but right now our hands are pretty much tied behind our backs with triple thick layers of duck-tape... so until Quazer posts to continue that meeting, we are dead in the water =( OK.. well Q gave me the go ahead to RP the thread so I will be posting to advance the story.

Sorry guys. I'm back now.. I'll try to do better with this RP..let me know where we're going [RP] Pluto/Sol Shingen rolled to his left, looking for an available exit. He was exhausted and battle-weary. He drew breath and placed his back against the bulkhead, out of ammo, out of options he faced his attackers. 5 Gammulan assualt marines came at him with guns drawn. They paused momentarily..taken aback by his apparent passive stance. Suddenly from around the dark corroridor, Mariko struck! She went low, attacking the legs of the first marine, bringing him down. She delivered a killing blow to the marine's neck. She stood and began to twirl like the a ballerina, taking out two more with accurate, deadly kicks to the head. She steadied and stood before the last two. They were both dumbfounded. Staring at this small female who had just killed three for there comrades. Taking the initiative, Shingen rose and grabbed the closest marine by the neck. Twisting, he broke the neck of the marine. He knelt and spun, knocking the last off his legs. Mariko, already in the blood-lust sprung. The last enemy never had a chance as she ripped out his throat and screamed as the blood flashed over her. She then lept at Shingen. Claws, teeth and death came after him! He rolled with her, trying not to do any damage, but trying to save his own neck! She screamed and hit him in the face.. hard. Blood came from his lip as he held her down. Several minutes later, Badman came up behind them both. "Are you guys ok?" He stared at the surrounding corpses in the corridor feeling vastly out of his element. Shingen held Mariko down for several more minutes, until her breathing slowed. He finally stood and looked around. His ship was a wreak! [/RP]

ok I have a few free days to devote to this RP.. where can I fit in? I've read everything up to the last post.

Oh I know that, it's why I'll be busy for the next few days or weeks just creating and modifying templates. Hey..I don't have a wiki link. My site link has always been IndieBC.net...but I'm almost 80% to getting that site with content. Currently..it is just a splash page telling people to wait til I can get my shit together. I am working overtime to get these things done!

you guys go ahead..I guess I ****** up that last post.. I saved it to my notebook and I'll fix it when I get time. It's hard to me to follow where everyone in and what ship/system with this style, so you guys go ahead and I'll catch up..

[RP] Lydan/Krynon The UCV-Deathstrike exited the Arenis/Krynon wormhole and cut engines.. she drifted away from the jump-point at inertia.. Smitty cut all power..all engines and life support. He figured he had at least 45 minutes of air in the command..he didn't know of anyone else on board. "Mother, shut down primary systems.. reserve power only. Redirect all power to the coms array. Record all inter-system communications..." The UCV-Deathstrike drifted in the void of space... silent, hidden and deadly... [/RP]

ok sorry guys... My big thing about time-stamps is that I was trained in BC RP by Rattler, Ben Somerset, Gallion, Charles Lindsey and Blades.. who were all, my mentors.. So sue me.. we don't have to use them...

[RP] UCV-Deathstrike Command Smitty settled into the command-chair of the UCV-Deathstrike. He pulled down the neural link helmet, and placed it on his head. He waited for the link to establish with the central CPU they called "Mother". Smitty sat back in the chair and relaxed..sipping his glass of dark ale beer. Once the link was established, Smitty ran through the core engineering commands. The new hyper-drive was in place and was working perfectly. Smitty switched to perscan and watched all the Insurgent techs as they left his ship. "This is Smitty..in command of the Deathstrike! All stations... prepare to dis-embark." Smitty stared at the empty navigation and tactical stations. He was the only one in command. He looked down at the command panel, next to his right hand..punched in the commands, and watched - on the main view-screen - as the ship decoupled from the station and entered a stable orbit. "UCV-Deathstrike - you are cleared to depart." replied Frontier Station. "Roger that" The UCV-Deathstrike fell off from Frontier Station.. she rolled.. yawed and finally jumped. The Deathstrike disappeared in a flash of light... ___________________________________________ ICV shuttle "Shingen, I know that you have only heard pockets of what I have had to say so far, but at most I have only spoken of the importance of a 'message' that I am compelled to convey. Before I go on, I need to ask you a question", Badman took a sip from his ale as he gently eye'd Shingen over the froth. ôCan your ship stop inside a wormhole?" Shingen took up his cards and handed them off to the repair droid. He watched Mariko stand. She was pissed! Mariko stood and glared at Shingen. Finally, she laughed and sat back in her chair. She eyed Badman. "Wormholes? What do you know about wormholes?" [/RP]

OK..so I finally got this game off of Ebay Is anyone else playing it? I can do great through all the various stages ie: Cell - creature - tribal - civilasation but when I get to space-faring I get my ass handed to me! The AI is mean! The space portion of the game reminds me of a 3D version of Stars! The AI is brutal! Anyone playing this game?
