my easiest explanation, although I'm probably totally wrong for the gravity drive, is that it has something to do with magnets...using the magnetic field of somthing to manuver through...almost like a sub through water...although not that simple...anyway thats my $0.04...I added an extra two as a tip, because I havn't had a discussion like this for a while...

I dont think anyone mentioned it, but all of the elite series, I think, I havn't played much of the origional ones, but Frontier 2 and Frontier first encounters both had a GREAT newtonian physics model, and great combat too...manual control in every direction, and even turrets and forward and aft guns in some craft...even when you wanted to pick up cargo pods, you had to match velocity to pick it up...that was a challange...I still play it sometimes, and if you can ignore the good for it's time graphix, then its a great game, although a bit tedious till you get a good ship...(you could buy new ships once you got enough money, it was a bit like privateer, but better...anyway...great game, yadayada yada it's free, yada yada yada, may have some trouble running it...yada yada yada...goto theunderdogs.org I think they have the link...

hehe, I have the official? starwars reference guides, most of them anyway, I've got the one on vehicles and ships which is my favorite(i've spent sleepless nights dreaming of owning a cloakshape fighter, with attached hyperdrive) anyway, cool...thats about all i've got to say...

AT&T is terrible, I had their $20 for unlimited dialup for a while, and all of a sudden with NO notice, I started getting HUGE bills, well, I found out about this, turns out they switched it to $20 a month for 150 hours, well, little old me, just leaving it connected all the time, had to go on pb&j for about a month just to pay the bills, I got it switched to the 7/7 offer, which was fine, but when I got my new comp and installed the latest dialup software, I got an ad banner wtf? well, on my old comp, I used the old dialup software with no banner, no prob, but the new stuff was terrible, it messed with ICQ and did things to netscape(I now use IE mostly)..not to mention I couldn't play any multiplayer games, I"m switching today or tomarrow...good riddance, although I havn't had the tech support trouble that you have, but they don't know jack about anything, they're answer to everything is reboot and try again, reboot and try again, ok, well, try reinstalling this, reboot and try again, ok, looks like your gonna have to reinstall windows, reboot and try again...heh, no bloody way i'm going through all of that for 56k connection that usually connects at 22000, and has 1...only 1 access number, no backups, not alternates, just 1...oh, did I mention that since I switched to att, I've been getting triple the spam mail I used to get? oh well, it's late, and I"ve got to meet the relatives tomarrow...bah.

umm, E5, if I"m not mistaken, that sound something like the eclipse from the starwars books(without the superlaser)...of course I'd have get out my starwars reference books though, and theyre packed away in the attic.

ok, sorry to get off topic...but what's a sunflash doing running from an aestrom, unless you just tried to take a station, or ram something big till it went boom, the sunflash can take almost anything(anything I've come up against...) even stormcarriers with full fighter complement deployed, I've taken them, then lead their fighters close to a station, hehehe, of course I coulda taken the fighters too, but it was a waste of my time... oh well, and btw, be sure to land softly, I took my integrety down to 75 trying to land one time, in a CC.

I would make a light carrier/super cruiser It'd be alot like the starcarrier super cruiser, but have maybe like 2 fighters. and 15 marines. or even one fighter would be cool, just as a little sports car I could take out on joyrides around insurgent bases while my drones were filling up.

I myself, am terribly damaged in a megaron, and I feel great, because I"m not using a sunflash.
