Has anyone figured out a speedy way to get to the rings around Hellseye? I'd like to get out and play amongst the ice boulders, but I can't seem to jump to the rings.

ahh jumping at waypoints in space now works? GOOOOD !!! 'cause in bc3k it didn't : set A/P on and the ship fly in normal mode to the area.

Good thing when you want to get out of the normal space lanes.

IIRC, ring debris was disabled in the E2 demo. I think it was something to do with optimizing the game's performance, and was fixed in Gold. According to the VCF packed with the E2 Demo, it doesn't say anything, but i haven't yet gone out to the rings to see, myself.

Guess you won't be playing with the boulders, just yet.

To tow something, you've got to be able to target it. Tell me: can you target a rock? I didn't think so.

In BC3000AD you could target the ROCKS. But when you tried to tow it would not let you.

There was nothing to fix because it wasn't broken. It just needed to be optimized and I think I disabled it in Gold. I'd have to check.

Yes you can. But they are not flagged at towable.

going back a little...

How in the world do you hyperjump to a waypoint. I've been trying for the last half hour and can't get it to work. I've tried everything I can think of. Thanks

Why would you want to tow a rock in the first place?

You can't. You can only jump to something you can target. Surely you know this? That said, since you can't target a waypoint, how do you plan on jumping to it?

So to jump to the rings (assuming there's debris there) I target a rock, and jump to it?
