Scotty
THIS is the Game Your Mother Warned You About!Luc & SC ÔÇô I like MECS too, but I think it is too narrow. ... an example or two: - MECTES ÔÇô Multi Environment Combat, Trading and Exploration SimulationMEMS ÔÇô Multi Environment Military SimulationI think that MEMS sums it up a little better, as there is more to the military than just shooting everything in sight, just like the game.- I am not trying to steal LucÔÇÖs original idea, so MECTES and MEMS should go to him, not me. I will take the assist though. Scotty

I was thinking from the start of this thread that the whole point should be from a reviewers perspective. Genre is always something that reviewers use by trying to "niche" everything. BCM is a niche title and it should be easy to say as an achronym for the genre, so I like MECS, and MEMS. The genre should be general and a little vague so that it encompasses following titles....I love setting a precedent. The bottom line is that game types like FPS includes games like System Shock 2 and Deus Ex, but they are not simply First Person Shooters, but adventure games as well. However, Quake, Doom, Unreal Tournement, etc are all precisely FPS games.I think I'll get off the soap box now.
