SymporiuM
Greetings, have been trying to play BCMG in LAN with my brother... I create a server, running the 1.00.01 version. But neither me or my brother can check the server in the "JOIN MP" program, the server dosn't pop up at all. So what shall I do to fix this? Thanks all! SymporiuM
a little update: after running a few progs, we can both see the server now (in LAN). But when we try to connect to it, we're getting a msg: "Connecting Please wait" and then the screen turns completly black for a sec, and then I'm out in windows again. What shall I do to fix this? Spindoktor
You should first get the RC7 patch and try again. The "multiplay" section of the VCF lists a huge number of issues addressed in this patch.
SymporiuM
thanks again Spin! And SC, sorry if I post this in the wrong forum, but there's no one who's reading the MP section... sorry

How do you know? Post stuff in the right forum or you'll get a "siddown" if you are lucky or a ban if you aren't. Just friendly words of advise. This is a great forum but to partake, its a MUST to adhere to the rules. Cheers!
Huwie
Just a quick note here which might be the answer... Are you using Zonealarm? If so, it might be asking to let the BCMG client through even though you can't see the question (unless you run the game windowed first). When I'm playing a game on multiplayer for the first time and I get the problem you have, I always press alt-r followed by alt-y. The alt-r tells ZA to remember the answer in the future, and the alt-y is the command that allows access.
SymporiuM
Finally got it to work, but it's lagging so much on my little comp, so I'll play in single player instead thanks for the help though

You should not experience ANY lag on an internal LAN game; even on a lowly 10mbps lan.
