Thought this was mighty odd.
So I'm patrolling around in Lyrius, hadn't seen an enemy ship for a while. Suddenly, an officer notifies me that my shields are down. Ok, I didn't do anything. So I raise them back up. Next thing I know, she says they are down again. This cycle continues..shields down...raising shields..goes on about 10 times. WTF?!? Then suddenly, we have intruders on board..and where were they located..Tractor Beam control. Bastards were pissing around with my tractor beam. So I quickly docked with Wraith station and had them permanently relocated. Interesting experience.
Dirty little intruders

During my first year with BCM back in 2001, I left the ship to explore Earth and what do you know, I came back and my shuttles AND fighters were gone, most of my radine and spare parts/repair minerals were stolen and my about half my crew dead or in Medibay.
Talk about embarrasing!!

Restarted a game here, and low-an-behold...raiders show up all around me as I'm about ready to go through to Pluto for some trading...my people we're probably thinking "Whoa...never saw THIS comming fisrt minute out".
Soon after dispatching over 8 total by the time that skirmish was over, I then sent out Lace on a comfy cargo sweep of the area (she seems to be good about it...don't go taking off to far-away bases or anything it seems most the time), and I goto Tactical and get all the Marines out checking the ship after their briefing. NOT ONE SECOND after I give the final orders to them all, than what do ya know?
You guessed it, an intruder is detected onboard.
Evidentally it seemed, that ol' intruder got himself a second row seat right behind me...because when I heard that, I went straight to Tacops to find I was allready down to 95LF, and 1 other officer was starting to get pummelled as well. That intruder didn't seem to like the idea that I had a shotgun on me or something, and VERY soon, left the bridge though without killing me or anyone else.
Meanwhile after the intruder had left there (to show me what kind of an intruder he really was), I got Lace back onboard (she was around 10k out from me when the intruder/theif got onboard) and shut down the Launch Controls finally, then ordered the CC to Pluto, and went right back to Tacscan.
That lil' thief was just leaving Crews Quarters 1 by that time and THEN had the gall to go into #2 as well, but first took a pot-shot at a medic before going in. Meanwhile, 1 Marine was coming that way and evidentally saw him go into the quarters and headed directly there to get into a skirmish.
That Marine was a gutsy one it seemed...injured the intruder down to 33LF, then hung around the Quarters for a moment after the intruder left (I'm guessing is what led up to what happened next there)...all of a sudden, it seemed like EVERY smart Marine was heading to this thief including the dumb ones but 4 of them!
That Marine that hung out in the Quarters had evidently noticed something missing, for he shot out of there and almost caught up to that thief by the time he got to the shuttle, AND all but 4 finally got INTO the shuttle before the intruder died!
He had almost EVERYTHING but the kitchen sink with him too...I should know, he had shuttle 3 almost 1/4 full of stuff, along with a magazine that I don't remember Lace picking up either in her cargo sweep.
Things that make you wonder why that Marine caught up to the intruder so fast and the rest seemed to just swarm him eh?

Currently, Galcom has seen fit to make my ship the location of the First annual Prisonerpalooza.
I picked up a detention hold full of intruders out in Lyrius. Tried to offload them at Wraith station. After undocking I check Perscan and find that I still have eight prisoners. So, I head back to Earth and dock at Galcom station for supplies. I go into Tactical/Crew/Prisoners and watch in utter dismay as more prisoners are brought onboard and locked up in my hold.
I could only spew five letters after watching this.... WTF SC????
Derek! Ewe evil bastage!
I had already lost a shuttle and a fighter to intruders. One of the thieves was a Gammulan cop! He apparently boarded my ship at Wraith station, then went straight to shuttlecraft 4 and launched the second we undocked. He then got the shuttle stuck against the outer spars on Wraith. There were a few goods on the shuttle and a medic who was in the wrong place at the right time. I closed on the shuttle, intending to tractor it in and KABOOM! The Gammulan tit self destructed. Crap! There goes another 3 million credits!
Because that eeediot Resnig is always lounging in his quarters and doesn't bother to give an intruder warning, most of the time, I have spent alot of time cloning pilots and alot of money replacing support craft.
I have also noticed that intruders will head straight to my research lab and kill my RE the moment her AI hits 21. Truely wicked coding on your part Derek.
Derek,It would be extra nice of you to return our ability to beam prisoners into oblivion, I mean c'mon, Why should you care "how" we play the game? As long as we buy it and play it, right?
Anyone want to take these 40 prisoners off my ship? They're crimping my play style severely.

If you want to get your stolen craft back and it's not flying away, set your PTA to 10% and give your command craft the order to attack the offending craft. Your PTA will then keep hitting it until it's disabled (the intruder inside is dead), and usually achieves this without destroying your precious little vessel. Then you can tractor the craft and recover it, since it is no longer 'stolen' (though it will now need some serious repair work).
The required/allowable PTA setting will vary according to how powerful your turrets are.

edit: LOL at Ben too.
I know how to recover a stolen craft. But this guy wasn't running. He was stuck against the side of Wraith Station, So there was no need to shoot up my shuttle with PTA fire. The stinking Gammulan Cop that stole the craft self destructed it as I approached for tractor lock.

when there's an intruder inside one of your stolen vessels and you tractor it, they will always self-destruct unless you kill the intruder, at least in my experience.

ive had many interesting engagement with intruders i swear the like the good ol acme loonie toons shows. so during one of my many trading runs in my shuttle i park my CC send out a marine in a sc1 turn off launch controls and hope out the nearest airlock. so about 20 min later when i see intruders i think, hey how much damage could they do before getting caught? so i set all remaining marines on search and ignore them....... oddly enouph upon returning to my ship i see sc3 and sc4 just floating outside i think wtf? and apparently i can redock wtf? so i look at perscan and logistics and apparently upon discovering that launch control was off the intruders went to the bridge smacked around my flight, navigations, and comunications officers till they turned it back on............
so i scan the 2 floating shuttles and see theres about 8 or 9 items in each no people i tracbeam it and i blows up taking out tracter controls............s.o.b.
