Enemy AI Question...

This question is for SC, since I don't know if anybody else would know it. What I'm wondering is when attacking a base on a planet, does the enemy AI's aim and combat ability change depending on the situtation.

e.g. If I attack a base with 40 marines backing me up, does this cause some fear and confusion for the enemy and therefore affect their aim, or will they aim the same whether I attack with the 40 marines or just by myself? The same would go if I started my assault using air support, then moved in my ground troops during the fight. Would the fact that they now have to be concerned about air and ground units affect their combat?

My very humble opinion is no. You can consider AI as trained personnel not get distracted from combat by number and other factors.

You'll have an advantage due to the amount of targets they have to track so they'll probably split the fire, but I don't think they'll get feared.
