Ruminations about war past or present

I hate being a grammer freak

But it's AMERICA street, NOT AMERIKA, I thought they would've taught that to you in school.

Kerry? BETTER THAN BUSH? (bursts out laughing)

Ahhh man, you crack me up Street, where the heck did you get the idea that he would be better? All Kerry is, is a flip flopper, a lier, anti-military, anti-america, anti-education (IE he's allowing that "No Child Shall Be Left Behind" bill to stay in, as long as it stays in our schools will continue to be overflowing)

That's several reason's why no one should vote for him,

Hey that gives me an idea (although I should post this in science and technology). In the coming Neuro-computer revolution, do you think we can use his brain neurons for a very powerful flip-flop circuit? He would be useful for something after all.

a couple of isolated shells

Just to reiterate my point, that "isolated shell" contained a gallon of Sarin. That could be a way of hiding in plain sight by storing Sarin in old shells to maintain plausible deniability. I wouldn't put it past someone who hides airplanes in the sand.

Me, too, but since you started it, it's grammar. Grammer is the actor on Frasier.

10,000 killed in one day and we killed 10, 000 in a year hmmm big differance though 10,000 is a big number but if u think about it we could have gone in the the UN in the Second Gulf War( Dont Forget Iran Iraq War) and blow up every think in sight. Also i would like to think that saddam killed more then 30,000 people since he came in power in 1979

Also where are u getting those numbers form is it Al-Jazeera or Al- Aribia change channel listen to what Gen.Sanchez or someone said. If u saw on CNN or CBS not sure which one but they showed the difference between Al- Jazeera and some other Arabic News Network in how Jazerra gives halodom to martrys for the Iraq insurgents.

And to the Sarin gas, Saddam supposidly got rid of the Sarin in the early 90s is this an isolated incident time will tell..... But fromt the Bomb plot in Turkey, where would these munitions for the attack come from, Syria hmmm perhaps i have this letter i found on the Internet about a defected Syrian Journalist and he writes on where Iraqs WMDs are located

Dear Nizar.

We received confirmations that the Iraqi weapons, which were moved to Syria by the help of General Zoul-Himla Chalich are now hidden in three places inside Syria:

First place: a tunnel dug in the mountain close to the Al-Baïdah village, which is roughly two kilometers from Misyaf village. This place is under the 489 Safety cipher Documents' office control .

Second place: the factory of the Air Armed Forces in the village of Tal Sinan, between the town of Hama and Salamiyyah. This factory is under the Air Force control.

Third place: the location of Shinsar, 40 kilometers south of Homs, two kilometers east of the Homs - Damascus road. There are underground tunnels there, controlled by Brigade 661 of the armed air Forces. It is a Brigade of air Patrol. The tunnels are several tens of meters deep.

The weapons were transported in large wooden cases and barrels, under the supervision of the General Zoul-Himla Chalich and the son of his brother Assef, who works at Al-Bachaer company.

The company is owned by the Assad family and has offices in Beirut, Damascus and Baghdad.

This company also undertook the illegal Iraqi oil importation in Syria, and supplied weapons to Saddam. I will try to send you all the new information as i get .

Take care and be safe."

Second Message to Nizar Nayuf

Second messages from a Syrian Source, WMD Location

"Dear Nizar.

I have sent you another chart of the positions which tells where the weapons which were sent from Iraq into Syria, are hidden. Because the preceding chart that I sent you earlier is not clear.

Until now, the authorities in Syria did not worry of what was being published by the Dutch television news about this subject.

New information: The weapons were evacuated by the means of ambulances. Mohammed Mansoura also took part in the operation.

There are other serious, detailed pieces of information concerning the money of Saddam being moved into Syria and into Lebanon and those who took part in moving it - Syrians and Lebanese. Also there are more details about the assassination of the General Moustapha Tajer which took place last summer.

Take care of yourself.

Damascus, January 7, 2004."

Where is the Media coverage about this topic?

Your Idea of AMERIKA, is not my AMERICA. My point again avoided and attacked by those who apparantly choose to wear blinders, rather than face truth. I am an AMERICAN, who stands for TRUE principle, and TRUE freedom, and the TRADITIONAL AMERICAN way of life.

slamming the character of an individual, which you have little knowledge, is as irrational as your arguments. Especially when Neither yours or mine, would probably hold a candle stick.... Typical of the norm within this whole discussion. Bush, on the other hand, has already demonstrated his lack of such.

(well, you seemed to have sucked me back in, for the moment...lol)

check your premises by which you base your conclusions, and be honest with yourselves, for a change. following, what is considered, the winning horse, at this point, may appear appealing to you, but only serves to show what character is beneath your own fasod. This apparant winner's popularity will fade in due time. Mark my words.

This has nothing to do with partisenship, but everything to do with principle, and moral fortitude.

Where is the Media coverage about this topic?

GOOD QUESTION...(makes one wonder as to the validity of the topic in general...and also brings to bear: Questions concerning our interpretation of "What is reliable MEDIA" in general.

If one basis their conclusions on a media, as unsubstantial as DIGITAL media(meaning the web), one may, in fact, have some really misplaced conclusions, as to what is REAL, and NOT so real.

I suspect, this has caused much of the confusion concerning the facts, in regard to this war. Not to mention, one's reading comprehension level plays a huge role in how one understands what is written.

I have also noted: Many read what they want to read, and inadvertantly ignore the small details which would give any given sentence or article an entirely different meaning.

Meaning: In a media, such as the internet. you could possibly find yourself reading an article one minute, and go back to same article a couple of minutes later, and not even realize, some of the facts have changed.

In other words: There is no way to verify the validity of such a media, as the HISTORY of the media itself, is subjective to the writer and subject to editing, or complete erasure, at any given moment.

If one would stand on any given conclusion, one SHOULD, have multiple verifications of each primise they have used to build such a conclusion.

Much of the disagreements I have had, in this whole discussion of war, with many of you. I have many sources of information to which I contribute my conclusions.

I, personally, do NOT entirely base my information concerning this war, or anything else, on the WEB, or the nightly news. I would hope you would show enough objectivity in your judgement, and designation of mutual respect for yourself, and others, to do the same.

This is not an issue of DEBATE with me. Just a plea to ALL of you, to apply a little rationale

Hey guys, just found out today that our military has made another mistake that is gonna get Iraqis pissed at us. A Helo gunship pilot shot up a wedding party killing something like 50ish people including 12 children. Now the thing you have to know is that during Iraqi wedding parties they shoot there guns into the air. The helo pilot had been chasing insurgents and thought the wedding party goers where shooting at him. Discussion starts..... now.

You listened to enemy propaganda you mean.

It is and had been confirmed by a number of sources that it was in fact a terrorist Safehouse, where terrorists would hole up after crossing into Iraq from Syria. A family was killed, and some children, but if a man opens fire at an Army attack helicopter, you better get the heck out of the way, because that chopper is going to shoot back.

The deaths of those children lie soley on the terrorists that were using them as shields.

They are a bunch of fricking cowards, hiding behind women and children, if the women and children die as we are trying to kill the terrorists, too bad so sad.

Yeah, it's coldhearted, but it's either us or them, and innocents who are being used as shields are going to have to be sacrificed...

This is one time when I wish you where wrong, but you are right.. It's the sad fact about war. Coward's use women and children as shields, they continue to fire at our boy's from behind those shields. In that case, I expect our boy's to return fire

It's like Jaguar said, It's either us, or them. And I choose us over them, I'm sorry and I never thought I'd ever say that... but the blood of those children is on the hands of the terrorists

What about the hundreds of people JUMPING out of the WTC windows? how about all the people who died in Spain in the train attacks?

Have you seen the pictures of the 4 contract workers who were murdered, dismembered, dragged through the streets, burned and then hung on bridges?

What pictures are bad again? What behavior is worse again? Who is gonna get pissed again?

Can we get real here? GEEZ.....

Amerika is a term used by Socialists, Communists, hippies from the '60's, etc. street made no error in spelling. That was an intentional and (shiver) provocative act. Good man yerself, street.

You see, we are disgusted with the way America has become, Kalshion, so we refer to it as Amerika. It is no longer the america we grew up in. I am afraid you have inherited a country overflowing with hate. But, as long as you embrace it, which you seem to have, you should do just fine. That is until capitalism implodes....

Interesting El Chi

I embrace hate? Interesting... let's see

If I embraced hate, then why is it that everyone in my area know's me as being the nicest, most respectful, and most trusted person here?

If I embraced hate, then why does the school trust me more than they trust there own school board?

If I embraced hate, then why am I alway's asked to help people?

I can tell you why, cause you don't know me.. you never will, so don't make accusation's like that without evidence.. and you have NO evidence

In case you'd like to know, I embrace UNIFORMITY

Jag, I'm not saying that the prison abuse was worse. I'm saying if we relise them and the Iraqis see it more are going to fight against us because most Islamic countries are amazingly vengefull. America is not so much. I mean if you do something bad to us were gonna pound your country to the ground most likely but we aren't going to keep a grudge for thousands of years. So I was speaking in a mainly political sense. If we relise all those pictures Bush is gonna have an even harder war to fight, and I dont think anyone wants to be stuck in there for long. Kinda like Vietnam (I am so gonna get blasted for saying that)

In other words El Che, I support everything that's EQUAL

I don't want to go to and get a work app and see that I have to select my Ethnic background. Why must I select it? Cause since I'm white I stand little chance of getting a job, yet if i was select black or hispanic I'd get the job in a heartbeat.

THAT's why I support Uniformity. I find it more than discrimination that I have to select my Ethnic background when filling out app's or a school scholship thing

To sum it up

"freedom from variation or difference"

The funny thing is that it's the Liberal Democrats that scream for "multi-culturalism", and "ethnic diversity", then whine about "racism" and the inequality of "minorities".

In fact it's the tree-hugging, femi-nazi, radical Democrats that are keeping Racism alive and well in the U.S., and the "Whites" are becoming the "minority".

(Another funny thing is that the Media almost always use terms like "African American", "Asian American", and "Latino American" for "minority" races, yet use the term "Whites" for Caucasian races.)

Ya know,

It's a pity that we aren't color blind when it comes to people.

I am not, nor have I ever been an Americanwho rates people by their ethnic background.

Our society has come a long way in ridding us of racist inequalities.

But the poblem still exists to an extent, only because of the constant media bombardment of the labels that Shingen mentioned above.

I have no problem with people of color holding pride in their heritage, but we all could get along better if we stopped putting labels on our ethnic backgrounds. We ALL live in America.

That makes us "all" AmericansPERIOD!

The sooner everyone starts embracing the heritage of America, the better off we all will be.

All of us came from, or were born of people from a different continent and together we created a new nation founded on the principles of freedom and equality.

Using labels like African American, Latin American, etc is Racism to the extreme and a slap in the face to our country.

I contend; If You don't like or want to be called an American, then pack yourself up and return to your point of origin.

I am an American of European descent but I don't feel compelled to run around clubbing everyone else over the head with it by saying I'm Euro American.

I feel no sympathy for any American who wishes to blame his/her social status on a racist theory. If your stature is unpleasing to you, you have noone to blame but yourself in our present society. We have travelled a very long road in the war on racial bias but, we still have a few miles to go.

Now I'm not saying that one's heritage should be tossed in the trash can, Just the labels.

There is no such thing as an African American or an Asian American etc, we're ALL

Americans by geographical location of residence.

If we really wanted to expand it, we're all Earthlings or Terrans

Or should we continue to break it down and call ourselves Ameriterrans or AfriAmeriTerrans? That would get idiotically complicated.

Wouldn't it?

The Gammulans hate us.

Let's band together and end the racial bias that Terrans, living in Gammulan space, are suffering.

In the Universe WE are the minority. Crappy Cola, another bleeping label!

There are no "living" terrans in Gammulan space...LOL

There may be some frozen ones in orbit around a few of our planets, but they ain't living, that's for sure....LOL[rp]

OK, enough of that, anyway, I agree, we are all americans... I think that is all I will say about that tonight.

Now, to get home and put in my new power supply because my old one blew up 2 nights ago...
