There's a malaise settling across the countries of Old Europe -- and that is a greater malaise than the normal high-tax, high-unemployment, no-growth socialist malaise that constantly hovers over Western Europe like a nuclear winter. Although it is hard to detect at first, there is a growing realization among the pundits and politicos of tired Old Europe that George W. Bush stands a very good chance of being re-elected on November 2nd.

Oh, they hate to admit it, but the first signs of reality are beginning to appear in the European media. Last month, the "Sueddeutsche Zeitung" published an article in which an incredulous reporter stated that it was possible that John Kerry could lose the election because he is such a bad campaigner and has difficulty connecting with voters. Now while this is something that even Kerry's supporters have been saying since January, such a statement appearing in a mainstream leftist Euro-broadsheet like the "Sueddeutsche Zeitung" amounts to political apostasy of the highest order.

Then there's the confusion among Old Europeans as to why the support of Michael Moore, Madonna, Whoopi Goldberg and Euro-Weasels like Jacques Chirac and Gerhard Schroeder hasn't propelled John Kerry into an insurmountable lead over President Bush.

To top it off, even the rabidly anti-American BBC and the leftwing deviationist Trotskyites of the Manchester Guardian haven't been able to conceal the fact that the election "bounce" from the selection of Edwards as a running mate and the Howard-Dean-on-lithium Democrat Convention has been on the order of a pancake hitting the floor.

Could it be that those Americans are actually going to re-elect Bush, the Old Europeans ask?

Well, Euro-Weasels, the answer is a resounding "you bet'cha!" And here's why:

A. Kerry's Negatives

1. John Kerry is unlikable. He's a humorless bore who thinks that because he has married several ultra-wealthy women he is better than everyone else. John Kerry is Gary Hart without the Monkey Business.

2. John Kerry is a political failure. Name one legislative accomplishment from Kerry's 20 years in the Senate.I'm still waiting. In sum, Kerry's main political accomplishment is that he is not the worst senator from Massachusetts.

3. John Kerry is a waffler and a weasel. "I voted for the war before I voted against it" pretty much sums up Kerry's political credo.

4. Kerry does not have the courage of his convictions (and it's giving him the benefit of the doubt to say that he even has convictions). C'mon, the guy speaks French but he won't even admit it. Memo to Kerry campaign -- General Patton was fluent in French and nobody questioned his patriotism.

5. Speaking of the French, Kerry's "plan" to fight the War Against Muslim Terrorism involves giving veto power to American actions to stalwart allies like the French and the Germans. Right. You know, I keep forgetting how diplomacy and the League of Nations prevented the rise of Hitler and Stalin. Good call, John Boy!

6. John Kerry is a tax-and-spend liberal. Hey, Kerry has nothing to worry about. His wife's money is sheltered in Switzerland, the Cayman Islands and Luxembourg. But giving the keys to the treasury to a Massachusetts leftist like Kerry is like holding a meeting of the AA at the Jack Daniels Distillery. There won't be much left over in the morning, that's for sure.

7. John Kerry's fellow Democrats don't really like the guy, and he has failed to excite traditional Democrat constituencies, especially Black voters. And no Democrats want Kerry to lose more than Bill and Hillary Clinton. If Kerry wins, Hillary's chances for the White House would be delayed for anywhere from 8 to 16 years, and Lady Macbeth will have none of that. Why do you think Clinton's autobiography was rushed into print before the election? Answer: To remind Republicans of the Clinton "legacy." Now that's an effective conservative get-out-the-vote effort.

8. Euro-Weasels love John Kerry. Every time a Euro-Weasel praises Kerry it means 10,000 more votes for W. Now if only Jacques Chirac would join Kerry on the campaign trail.

9. Kerry's four months of service in Vietnam are negated by his Michael Moore-like behavior after he returned from the war. But then, being on both sides of the issue is a hallmark of Kerry's life. Howard Dean may be nuttier than a loon on LSD, but at least he stands for something.

B. Bush's Positives

1. 'W' has successfully prosecuted two wars against Muslim terrorists. What's left of the Taliban is hiding in caves with the rest of the rats, and Saddam is awaiting his trial, conviction and hanging. Every day more Muslim terrorists are killed and captured. Instead of bombing an aspirin factory like his predecessor, W has taken the battle into thee belly of the beastand the beast is losing.

2. Except for Michael Moore groupies and members of the Modern Language Association, nobody gives a rat's ass about whether or not there were armed nuclear bombs in Saddam's palace. Saddam was the weapon of mass destruction and he's currently talking to himself in a jail cell. Of course, only in a Michael Moore fantasy world is the discovery of six tons of enriched uranium and missiles dipped in Sarin in Iraq considered to be of no consequence.

2. While Old Europeans and American academics may be violently anti-Israel and vehemently pro-Palestinian, W's strong support for Israel coincides with the opinions of the vast majority of Americans. Real Americans remember the scenes on television when the Palestinians were shown celebrating the 9/11 terrorist attacks perpetrated by their co-religionists.

3. The economy is robust. W's tax cuts are working brilliantly. America creates hundreds of thousands of jobs every month at good wages. Kerry wants to raise taxes (taxes, of course, that he and his ultra-wealthy wife will be able to avoid paying).

4. The Electoral College favors W. And Congressional redistricting also benefits the Republicans.

5. Social issues also redound to the benefit of W. Voters outside of the West 80s and Hollywood are, for the most part, opposed to Barney Frank being able to get married to his boy toy du jour.

6. America is at war and Americans are reluctant to replace a Commander-in-Chief in the middle of a war. Remember Presidents Wilkie, Dewey, Goldwater and McClellan?

7. Intangibles favor W. People like W, maybe not to the extent that they felt personally connected to Ronald Reagan, but W has the common touch. Kerry, on the other hand, behaves as though he would never touch a commoner. Also, W and his campaign staff are just better at politics. They're more focused than Kerry's campaign, more disciplined, and since they actually have core beliefs, they are more dedicated to victory. Like Reagan, W inspires hatred on the part of his opponents, and when people sense hatred they are turned off. Today's Democrats are excellent, truly inspired, haters. And that's why they are also losers.

Now, the election isn't over yet. A lot can happen in three months. John Kerry may develop a backbone and start supporting only one side of an issue. John Edwards may start yet another class-action lawsuit and try to disenfranchise all registered Republicans. And pigs might start flying. But I wouldn't bet on it.

The surplus was gone WAY before the tax cuts kicked in, and the surplus was pretty much an illusion anyway.

Wanna know what tax cuts do?

Interesting read

Now that hopefully you realize that Clintons tax hikes put the economy in recession and destroyed the socalled surplus, and the Bush tax cuts brought the economy back.

Also, I liked my $600 tax rebate as well as my tax cut.

What is there NOT to like about getting a tax cut, is it your money that YOU earned, or isn't it?

I don't know about you, but I never worked for a poor person. Rich people take their tax cuts and INVEST it, that creates money in the economy which allows companies to hire people, which does what? Adds people to the tax rolls.

Did you know that after Reagans tax cuts, NOT only did it get the economy moving, it also brought MORE money into the treasury? If Reagan had been able to talk the Dem's into NOT spending that money, we would have had surplus's coming out our ears!!

Now then, the question is, what do you disagree with as far as the space program is concerned?

Here, what is there NOT to like?

good GOD!, Jag, enough all ready!.. posting EVERY single politically biased, RIGHT WING article, or ADvertisement, during an election year, is JUST plain IDIOTIC, if not just plain clutter.

But, who am I? to make such a call?...it's just getting sooooo tiresome.

I get tired of it on TV and turn it off. I get tired of it in the newspapers, and throw them in the trash....

what happen, to limiting POST to specific(non-repeating)topics?.....or, is that point waived for the politic thread?

This forum, is supposed to be an INTERNATIONAL community, rather than a totalitarian "BUSH-WAR-ITE" community. IS'nt IT?

Is there NOTHING else, you can share with this WHOLE "INTERNATIONAL" community, other than BUSH's political machine's BIASED RHETORIC???

read a book, or something. ANYTHING, just find something else....ANYTHING, to obsess about.

Hey, I know.....! Play some UNIVERSAL COMBAT!!...I hear it's a FANTASTIC GAME!!!

Uhrmmm Universal Combat good... online community not so good heheh. YES I COULD DO IT BETTER! There I said it heheh.

I suggest you ignore Jaguar, he has one thing right, debt is good for the government but there is a level of debt that we need not exceed... we surely do not need to CREATE wars to spend the money... and we sure as hell don't need to enrich "certain" companies. There is where the hypothesis falls apart. WHO DO WE GET OURSELVES IN DEBT WITH? If you say Halliburton and Kellog Brown and Root I say unabashedly BULLSHIT.

Thanks

Tak

ROFLMAO!!!

Eurotrash is more along what I like but that's just me.

And Street and Takvah are a Definite minority, which will be proven in November.

America first, ALWAYS......

And the Sudan, and Rwanda thing, why doesn't your precious UN do something about it? You seem to love them so much, go ask them to do something about it.

Oh yeah, that's right, because they will want the US to carry the Lion's share of the worlds woes, and we are a little busy killing terrorists and defending ourselves from them to worry about what the UN wants.

LOL, yeah, RIGHT!! your right about one thing though, we will see what happens in november!.

JUDGExKTF, More people see it, than would appear, on this site. The most RADICAL, are the one's who scream the loudest. And, that is ALL!!

Just as those, who kick the dog, to increase their own perception of self worth. Those, who are doing all the PROPAGHANDA attacks(within this forum), against Kerry; Are reflecting their own INSECURITY , concerning their party's position, and their CANDIDATE'S, ability to win.

Scream a little louder, you right-wing RADICALS, and maybe... just maybe, your perception of self worth will improve....LOL. You certainly are'nt going to sway enough people HERE, on this forum, to help BUSH, and his cronies win this election.

I would suggest, exchanging a few personal favors, with jag's ELETE,NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE contacts....It won't help Bush, but it may help your self esteem.
