The version released this morning on Gamer's Gate is v2.10.01. We discovered a DRM license compatibiliy issue in that version and which can lead to unexplained crashes. A small v2.10.01 maintenance update is now available via the game's "Check For Updates" shortcut.
After installing the game, check for updates and install it. Be sure to note the install folder when prompted; especially if you still have the game's demo or preview installed.
This maintenance update will be rolled into new full build releases over the weekend. So if you buy the game after Monday, it will be the v2.10.01 version and thus no need for an update.

Just an FYI, the Direct2Drive version is the new v2.10.01 build. So only the original Gamers Gate is the original v2.10.00 build; and they too will be replacing it over the weekend.
